go48gx for Android
Keyboard graphics poor
I LOVE THIS CALCULATOR :) Works great on my SGS7
I strongly advise against this purchase. It won't run at all. It freezes on the "Recover Memory" screen. Don't waste your money.
Seems to work OK, but it jiggles around when you press a key, and, even worse, beeps when you make a mistake. And there is nothing at all you can do to stop it! Even though everything possible on the phone is set to 'silent'...
Used to use Droid48, but it crashed/froze frequently and was unreliable. So I reluctantly deleted it. Enter Go48GX. Go48GX runs all my libraries and programs wthout a hitch on my Ultra Z under KitKat. Fast and reliable. Expensive for an Android app, but IMHO - worth it.
Was working great on my Droid Bionic. Got a new phone Droid Turbo and the bottom half of the calc is covered by the tools menu bar. Emailed author approx 1 week ago and no response. Please fix !!!!!
Hard to justify the cost compared with free alternatives. This emulator runs well and would be something to consider for a lower cost and better skins.
I would give it five stars if I could figure out how to set the speed or add programs from the SD card. On my 7" Samsung I can only find the flag/cmd field and printer.
Another fail on the Moto G. Still same error "Try to recovery memory?". This should have been addressed by now.
The calculator keyboard may not look as real as a certain other emulator but it runs fine. Always back up work by doing an archive of the HOME directory. You will need a tool to extract the Archive as a Backup object. Load Pro-Hackit from hpcalc.org, Library 1214. Store it in Port 0 or Port 1. The Archive will also need to be in one of these ports. Execute 1 or 0 XRCL to get the port as Libraries and Backup Objects. Move the HOME directory archive to stack level 1 and use tools Save stack level 1. When the calculator crashes use this tool to recover your HOME directory. The emulator is like the real calculator. It will finally wipe out. Excellent job by the developer. Almost all hpcalc.org libraries work. Five stars when it runs XVIEW and FontWriter. Six stars for adding save by ASCII mode. This will allow transfer of User RPL to the HP 49G emulator.
I was looking for a scientific calculator for my phone, and this was clearly the best option for me. I had used the 48GX during college, with alg48, qpi and the Java stack replacement. All work perfectly under this emulator. The only thing that doesn't run is the ice cube game Lib. But that is understandable.
Just beginning to use this one. Unlike Droid48 the clock works - YEA! Also the keyboard is accurate and responsive. Wish it looked a bit nicer but that is a real quibble. I want to link it to external RS-232 devices ( DMM, X-10 modem ) using a usb host adapter and Slick USB 2. Don't know yet if that is possible. Hoping . . .
Most of the programs and libraries from http;//www.hpcac.org work. Care must be taken to make sure they run on the HP48GX! This is where people run into trouble.. They load an HP48SX program or library and it crashes just like it would on a real HP 48GX. Jazz works very well except for the VV command which will not scroll. Similarly. Stringwriter works except for the left shift Ascii key. FontWriter does not work. A competing unpaid emulator cannot run the ED command in Jazz as it scrolls to fast. Stringwriter had the same problem and its menu does not work properly. These things work in this emulator.

I'm having a problem, though - when installing MetaKernel (latest - 2.30), the installation proceeds without issues but afterward the program freezes. Could you look into it and see if it can be fixed? TIA.
