On Android 4.4 device, import/export directory is now /Android/data/o2s.emul.hp41cx/files/... instead of /go41cx/...
On S5 devices, long press the right hardware button to get the menu.

Thank you. Some new phones have no Menu button. I had to install "Menu Button (no root)" app to put a floating menu bar on the top screen. There was no way to import modules and overlays without it. App takes a while to figure out. Put modules in /storage/sdcard0/Android/data/o2s.emul.hp41cx/files/modules/CIRCUIT.MOD (in this case CIRCUIT.MOD) then with calculator off, press centre of 41cx Lcd.Press mods. Press menu button on floating bar and you will get IMPORT. Overlays need own folder..so do RAWS

I originally had the free Go41C version and decided to update it for two reasons. One, I wanted to be able to enter some programs that I have written for my 41CV. Two, I wanted to be able to use the Math module for solving simultaneous equations. I was able to enter in the programs that I have previously written. This app works exactly like the original calculator in that respect. However, after hours of trying to install the Math Module, I have yet to succeed. I have tried to follow the instructions given online, but there is no import/export function that I can figure out. I have copied the MATH.MOD file to every directory associated with the app, both internally and on the SD card, but the app cannot find it. I sent an email to the developer a few days ago, but have not heard back. I had a similar app on my old iPhone, and it was beautiful. All modules worked, and I could program. I will happily upgrade this to a 5 star rating when and if this bug is corrected.

The free version states tones are disabled. I thought the were refering to click sounds to confirm when you press a keyboard key. The pay version also does not make any sound on my Samsung Galaxy S7. This is a problem because it leades to errors entering numbers. I can not recomend this 41C emulator. The versions for Apple OS are better.

This app brings the HP 41 into the 21st century. $9.00 to bring back my long dead 41 is a steal. The author has done a Herculean task to produce a truly incredible emulator. There is online support for all the solutions books and modules plus manuals.

I've been a HP41C user since 1979 and this is by far the best emulator of it. It runs great on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2. (Running Android 4.1.2) 20160828 Update: still rocking this wonderful tool on my Google Nexus 6P. Well done, Olivier!

Long time user of the hp41c. Beautiful app, but: (1) Its too common to miss a digit or decimal point when keying in numbers as compared to the free42 app. It seems like . and 2 are the worst keys (2) I would like calculations to be as fast as possible, however in this mode the display is too fast to be read. You could add another user parameter that sets minimum time that each output is displayed so that it could operate at 32x except that it would pause to display an output for at least 0.5 seconds (or other user selectable value) before moving onto the next display output. This would provide maximum speed without compromising the display. (3) sometimes the keyboard image is enlarged when I am typing so only a portion is displayed on my nexus 6p. (4) There should be option to remove the stack display window. Experienced users don't need it. It is distracting & compromises the otherwise excellent replica.

Kinda rough to get started with roms, but smooth sailing once set up. Great app.

Excellent emulation. My only problem with it was that I couldn't seem to get any modules loaded on my nexus 5x. I made a directory in /go41cx/ and copied the files there, but so far no luck.. I love it, I just wish I could load the modules..

Before the "but" I must say, buy the cx version. $9.00 is a deal. I paid $300+ for my 41cx in 1984 and used it every day for years. I loved everything about it, except the 14 segment LCD. With only 6.4KB RAM and no GPU it was a necessary compromise 35yrs ago but it's a crappy font. Today this sits on my phone -- 2GB RAM, quad-core CPU & GPU. Nostalgia is fine, but I would like the option of taking advantage of my 1080 x 1920 display by using the most readable font possible. Nexus 5. 5.0.1

Works just like my 41C did back in the day. What an amazing piece of technology for its day. It would be even better if the top status line could be disabled as for me this ruins the aesthetic as it doesn't look as a 41c should.

This is a great calculator. It seems to work perfectly on both my Droid Mini phone and on my Nexus7 (gen 2). Bravo! Now if it just had a PPC ROM plugged in like my HP... wait, that *may* be possible.

It obviously won't work with the card reader, or HP-IL, but it's still an excellent emulator. Docs could be better.

I have a Samsung galaxy S4, Ver 4.4.2 (Kitcat). When trying to create the Import/Export Folders eg "go41cx" etc, the error message = "Unfortunately, o2s.emul.hp41cx has stopped." (However the Folders were created.) I copied the Modules & Overlays into the appropriate Folders. But the files are not visible to be able to be select for one of the 4 ports. What's needed is an update to allow these valuable functions to work, I have sent 6 Emails to the Developer but only received 1 automatedish reply.

This app used to work but doesn't now. It opens and all looks good except there is no calculator display....It is blank. I'm not sure when this happened. A few updates ago, I think. Anyway, very disappointing.

This is an amazing app that, especially on my Note 3, exactly reproduces my memory of the brand-new, out-of-box experience of my HP41CX in 1982. Still my favorite calculator in the world; it's wonderful to have it on my phone.

Works like the original and with the possibility to add every existing extension module without the fear to lose them, great! My only wish is to be able to choose among more skins. I'm using the basic one because it's the less distracting for me. But something more colorful would make me totally happy:)

I believe this sets the bar for an Android calculator app. For me, it replaces my 41CX lost years ago. With the ability to test it out first with the free GO41C, how can you go wrong? It adds so much with the ability to use any plug-in modules for whatever task you have to perform, and even use keyboard overlays! I can't wait to try to create my own overlay. This is great fun and extremely useful!

Hands down, best 41cx emulator out there. Lets you save calculator state for recovery purposes, and will accept images from scores of external modules. Will save your programs externally (in case you missed having a card reader). The keyboard overlay system is just stunning. Define which overlay you're using (or photoshop your own!) and it just appears when you his the USER toggle! Y, Z, T and L registers are displayed on a special line above the main display. Really, the only thing it needs is a Bluetooth to HP-IL interface (lol)

I still use my 1980s HP41CX but the card reader circuitry died in the 90s and now Xmem seems to be fading. I saw these virtual apps for the PC and started using them. I was able to save my .raw files to hard disk and load HP user group .mod as well. When I saw this app I was able to load my .raw files to my device as well as using PPC ROM, app packs plus print capabilities! And portable to beat. Amazing! This app is worth more than 5 Stars.
