go41c for Android
When it comes to calculator apps, it doesn't get much better than this. I have used HP RPN calculators since my first year of college and started with a 15C (which I still have and will never let go). When I started into more complex chem, statistics, physics, and math I had to have a 41CX. I did sell that one when I graduated and moved up. The HP RPN (or any RPN) is the simplest and fastest way to calculate, especially when you are chaining long equations or calculating statistical info. This app is a great emulation and I feel completely at home with it. It is also a better way for left handed people to operate. Most lefties I know use and RPN because they work the way we think. Beautiful job of building an emulator!
This is a simulator. You are using floating point arithmetic correct? Secondly, your haptic feedback (which is infesting too many calculators here on play store) definitely ruins key input and make the calc impossible to use. Could you allow this to be disabled and or replaced by an optional "click" from the speaker? Vibrating feedback doesn't work on too many Android phones at all well.
No sound or haptic feedback, even when I tried the $10 CX version. Also, this device has no menu button (Galaxy S6), so the main menu cannot be accessed.
Bought the hp41c in '80 for R900 now the app available for R0 and can do everything the 41 could do, Great!
I'm so happy to use again my lovely HP41. It will be nice if the tone and beep will work. Thanks.
It finally occurred to me to look for an RPN calculator. This one fits the bill nicely.
When my Droid Turbo was at KitKat this app was great! Since the upgrade to Lollipop the entire bottom row of characters on the keypad are now covered up. I have sent messages to the Developer but they have been unanswered. I wish an update would come and fix this issue but I think that I will need to uninstall it. Please, please update the skin. Please
I still use my HP41CV, but this is easier to see! Just wish someone would invent a touchscreen that has "click" action for buttons.
The app is visually near perfect. I would like to have the option of a click or sound for a key press to emulate the click of a real calculator.
I was a long time HP41 user. This is very nice. However the icon is cluttered and unreadable. Why not something cleaner and simple?
Excellent replication of the 41CV, which I still use at work. On the SGS6 phone, I can't find a way to access the settings, but maybe I don't need any of them. ;)
Latest version has the bottom row of buttons covered with a slide out. Makes my favorite calculator useless. On latest Android from Motorola
Looks great on Moto E 2nd gen and Nexus 7 1st gen. It even runs programs! Now if I could only remember how :)
Best app I've used in a long time. Great job. Looks and acts just like my HP41C
Is there any way to Load and save programs? I used to have the mag card reader and writer.
I still have my 41cv. But to have it on my phone is a dream come true. The only thing it needs is more memory. Not sure if it's possible but maybe to tap into phone or sd card for more mem. I love to program my calc. But mem is limited. Can this be done?
The bottom row is not being shown. All that I can see is the 3 dot settings tab and it can't be removed.
Please include the click key sound and the beeper. If you could also increase the reg count it would be great. I would be willing to pay for a premium version.
I have a "real" 41cv that got me through engineering school (and it still works today!) This is THE BEST app I have found, and I continually look for new ones. The only suggestion.I could make on improving it would be some ' key click' sounds to ensure key entry. Maybe that feature is on the paid version which I will certainly be buying. I paid over $300 back in the '80s for mine and $10 is a real deal. I am running this app on a NOOK 7" HD and it looks great!
Error lost bottom row of calculator can't divide I love this app please fix the skin for my turbo
My only complaint is, it only implemented 64 register memory instead of the full 319 registers.
looks just like my old 41cv
This was my most used app but now the bottom row is hidden. Useless. Like an old friend died.
This one really looks and acts like the real thing minus the expansion modules but the reviews on the pay version suggests that emulations of the modules are available there. Does need some kind of help feature as my memory of the manuals are quite rusty.
Excellent interface. Soon I'll upgrade to the paid version.
But I should really buy the paid version to run my old assembler...
As former heavy HP41 user this makes me happy.
Absolutely fantastic! This is the _real deal_! Being an old -41 nerd since my teens the first thing I do when trying out a -41 emu|simulator is to see if its hardware emulation is good enough and if it's using actual ROMs. This one does it! I keyed in the "byte grabber" key assignment, used it to key in the "LB" program (if you know the Byte Grabber you also know LB, otherwise don't ask ;-)) and it works splendidly! This means go41c uses actual ROMs and extremely good HW emulation. Fantastic work, Mr. De Smet! Be careful when keying in the BG though, one wrong key and the app might lock and you'll have to delete and re-install. That's a small price for having a !real! -41 in your phone, with all your synthetic programs running. Now, if there only was a (legal) way to attach ROMs, like ZENROM, Advantage and PPC that I have in my hardware version… :-)
Bought the hp41c in '80 for R900 now the app available for R0 and can do everything the 41 could do, Great!
Démarrage instantané et fonctionnement fidèle à l'original. Parfait.
Still the best calculator I ever had.
The last of my 3 HP-41's is on my desk, still working every day. This emulation immortalizes it for all time. I rate it a 6. (Perfect for S5).
I still have my original 41CX from 1983, but I love having it on my G5. I have it on my PC also!
Beautifully done; works like the real thing.
This App is exactly like the real thing which I still use! I personally want to thank the developer for the great job he did!
I can do arithmatic without errors! I was so used to rpn that I couldn't even add using without it. So sad. Bless the developer! My check book balancs again.
It even looks like it besides functions like it. I am inlove, don't need to buy those N batteries again.
Thank you
Great! - Especially for old-school Engineers trained in the mid-70s. When I show this to my buddies, they cannot believe what they see. Thank you very much, Olivier.

Thirty years ago, I was a poor college student studying land surveying. As such, i couldnt afford one of these which cost over $300 with the land surveying chip. Hell, i couldnt afford my own car. That meant I had to do my calcs in class long hand with a TI-55 II. I had to scramble to keep up with my classmates. And here it is FOR FREE. But I've been a UNION truck driver for two decades with good medical, a pension and a lot more money. And I'm a LOT happier, thank God. ENJOY!!!!
