About Unicode Browser

Browse the Unicode character set, examining characters by category or by similarity; search for names containing specified substrings; save a list of favourites for quick reference. Also copy and paste text between this and other Android applications.

You can display characters for your system font, which is dependent on your Android version, or you can select any .ttf file present in your system installation or on external storage.

Note that unavailable characters may appear as empty boxes, or as nothing at all. If you want to see a wider range of characters, try downloading and selecting the GNU Unifont. This is bitmapped, but should be better than nothing.

Excellent search and "Favorites" mechanism. This is the only Unicode app I've seen so far that shows the descriptive names even BEFORE selecting a character, which is very helpful in light of the fact that many characters are non-visible. However, the user-interface is too cramped and also a bit clunky.

For some reason, on my device it doesn't display the actual symbols for many characters that are indeed in the system font as shown by Unicode Map. Search also appears to be broken. So I'd have to recommend that app over this one.
