About ParkMate

ParkMate is the smartest and easiest way for you to pay for your parking. Using your phone's GPS and Google Maps, ParkMate allows you to easily find a car park or select the car park you are in. Then you simply hit 'START YOUR PARKING' to commence and 'STOP YOUR PARKING' when you are done. It really is that simple!

With ParkMate, you no longer need to queue in the rain to pay for your parking. You no longer need to carry a huge sack of coins around with you. You no longer need to keep putting your credit card into a pay & display machine. Best of all, you no longer need to guess how long you may need to park. You control your parking from your smartphone!

Once you have easily registered your ParkMate account, ParkMate provides you with the best parking rate available including the Earlybird rate (if available). ParkMate also allows you to select how often you would like reminders that your parking session is active or when you would like to be reminded that your Earlybird parking is ending (if you want to extend your stay, you can without needing to return to your car!). For 'peace-of-mind' ParkMate displays a timer on your phone, so you can always see your parking session is active and how long you have parked for.

ParkMate - simply is the coolest way of paying for your parking on the planet.

Epic failure!!! Chose and paid for a Victoria St carpark in Wellington based on an alphabetical list. Turns out another Victoria St carpark is listed right at the start before the A's!!! Thus got charged $65! Upon complaining, I was told to appeal and the parking enforcer suggested I should have scrolled up rather than down the list! Also suggested to use the map instead of the list. Completely user unfriendly and downright confusing!!! Yet they are quick to issue breach notices. I will report this to Commerce Commission. Or FairGo!

Total failure this morning. I downloaded your new version because the old version had been deactivated only to experience failure. As soon as I tried to enter my email in the 'email field' I got an error 'Push Notification Error' service_not_available. WTH ! You really need to fix it promptly. I have a new Samsung S7 and when i tried to login to your new app, it failed three times, then I tried to create a new account and again failed in that it keeps telling me incorrect password/username. I used the same email address, then when I used my mobile number which is the same as before I get told that it is already in existence. So frustrating.

What a steamer.... The ui is atrocious I couldn't for life of me figure out how to pay for non casual parking... And I work in IT. Good luck to others.

Z70%

Terrible app and service.. thought it was designed to improve efficiency, but really just a method to increase profits. If you want genuine feedback on how to improve it contact me, at a minimum should use GPS effectively

I was charged unfairly and I am unhappy! Without proper notification, the recent upgrade had a major change of the process. Previously, an earlybird session just expired automatically, but now it keeps charging until you explicitly press the button to stop. This process change is a scam, as it adds no value to the majority of earlybird users who just park routinely during their 8-hour working time. If the app really want to offer some users with more flexibility, it ought to either ask users to opt out the old process or opt in to the new process, to alert the users about the change clearly.

After the new update price gone up $1, shouldn't this be mentioned in the update info? Park and stop doesn't display the hourly rate still. September 20th, well , just saw you put early bird up for another dollar. Is this going to be a monthly thing now?

This app was great! We went over too Waiheke and parked near the ferry. Left the car for 2 nights and only paid $50 using the Waiheke special. Very easy to use.

The new update is criminal. The parking no longer stops automatically and is catching people out who are used to the old system

Useless app. Don't download it. they robbing everyone.

L70%

No problems so far, would be better if all details about a parking lot is on display e.g open and close times, option to have less frequent notifications or select multiple sites for parking. ????

Z70%

Changed vehicle and rego. Update default. App decided to revert to old. Got a parking ticket. Wow! Lets see what happens with dispute process

S70%

Why the hell do you keep increasing prices? Uninstalling app and will never park at wilsons ever again money suckers.

Z70%
by Z####:

Doesn't display the opening times of the carparks. Got locked out and Wilson asked for $50 in cash to get our car released (when we went into the carkparking building there was no sign which displayed the times)

Z70%
by Z####:

Does version 1.2 have a notification bug? I've checked permissions, but today I got no reminders at all about my casual session until an email (hours too late!)

Z70%
by Z####:

Kept asking about a home screen overlay setting which couldn't be changed so I was unable to find my parking meter.

Z70%
by Z####:

Asked for password at the wrong place at the wrong time. Why do you have to logged user out every time you update your software?

M70%

Great app, but please State hourly rate when asking if we want set fee or hourly

Z70%
by Z####:

read the terms and conditions.... and not worth it, rather pay at the machine

Z70%

Rubbish. Charges more than pay & display machine.

Brilliant app smooth and easy to use

Z70%

Just terrible

Z70%
by Z####:

Poorly designed app! Wants to constantly check my location even after denying it access to it, which became a constant interruption. The search function needs an actual search bar where you can type your location into not just a long list. Only had to use it because your ticket machine was broken at the Langham hotel. I shouldn't have to pay for parking if your machine is out of order. You charge enough to be able to maintain your equipment.

Z70%
by Z####:

WARNING: on a Sunday with all day parking you can end up paying $18 for 10 minutes parking. The app DOES NOT warn you that it's an all day fee, rather than a usage fee. Pretty poor all round: Doesn't show how much parking has cost so far. Sometimes it does not show parking is in progress, just has the start parking screen. How do you stop your parking session? Warning: is inaccurate in guessing which car park you are at, eg confuses Dixon and Ghuznee.

1. You don't need my mobile phone number. This should not be a mandatory field. My mobile number has absolutely zero impact on my ability to park my car. 2. I only got this app to get the $14 earlybird advertised on the sign... but that's not possible, since you add a transaction fee within the app. There is no way to actually get the advertised $14 price. I now see it does say on the advertising in very small print "electronic transaction fee applies" but this is very deceptive. Stop advertising prices that are impossible to obtain. Why not advertise 50c parking and then have a $14 transaction fee? Or better yet, $14.50 parking with no transaction fee?

Z70%
by Z####:

App is non-native, which means a poor user experience. Main purchase screen has some serious design issues, which has caused me to purchase the wrong type of parking—meaning I have been charged more than I should have been! I have zero tolerance for design flaws which result in costing me money, so this is a 1-star app until this issue is fixed.

E70%
by E####:

Haven't had problems using it, but it's way too easy to accidentally choose "casual" parking instead of early bird.. Can get very expensive!

Z70%
by Z####:

This app sucks, has had me late for work, as sometimes I receive error msgs saying "app unavailable" so I'm deleting, will just have to make sure I have cash.

Z70%

Great app! So easy and very reliable. Has never failed me. Thankyou! Works well on both iphone and samsung. Would be good to have alerts about wilson parks that are full/spaces available for each location.

Decent app, easy use for paying everyday parking. Had one issue that was quickly resolved. Decent design, but could still be a little more user friendly. Overall it does what it needs to, as works well.

Z70%
by Z####:

Tedious registration experience, and misleading transaction fee. Overall it seemed to do its job though, I'll let this rating stay as long as my car is still there at 7pm.

L70%
by L####:

Wow. This app is terrible. Easily the worst app I have ever used

O70%
by O####:

This app has a bad rating for a reason. I purchased an early bird. It says in the help section of the app that the start button is only available when the product is available. So it MISLEAD me into thinking that I can get it even though I'm not actually in the carpark yet. However that is not the case. The carpark was full when I got there a few mins later. It doesn't prevent people from buying even when the carpark is full. Ok that is fine lesson learnt, because I can get a refund right?? At least according to the person I called... So when I requested a refund, they said they can't refund because buying a ticket without parking first was a user error. Well yes I admit, I should've parked first. but it could've been prevented if the system was smart enough to stop people from buying tickets into a full carpark. Ever heard of Murphy's law? What can happen will happen. Giving this app 1 star is already too much of a compliment

Max charge was marked as $7 on meter was charged $12.50 for using the app. Do not recommend.

Great app as far as I'm concerned, basic and simple, as parking should be, just do not forget to end parking session when you leave. Great service.
