I keep coming back (multiple times over the last few years) hoping they have improved this app but sadly no. It just isn't very useful. - I don't want to compare my spending to last month, I want to compare it to a goal. - which means it would be good to be able to enter a goal or a budget (rather than use a whole separate app that doesn't speak to this one). - I don't want your categorisation of wants/needs. I want mine. So I want to be able to add/amend categories. - I want to see these all represented in graphs. - I want it to learn better when I categorise spending to keep it that category in future with option to amend. - I want one app for everything not 3 - account access, budget/goals, categorisation. My sense is they don't actually want you managing your money much at all.

I think there are many great things about this app and I like the simplicity of it. I do however think there is huge room for improvement which I'm sure will come with time. A few little things like tracking income against outgoings or even income at all would be great. Also your typical spend on a particular month I don't think is calculated correctly and I assume is only going back either one or two years max which can show some pretty interesting figures? Also if you change a catagory for something that repeats it needs to change for all past and future transactions. Would be great to have a debt/mortgage/credit against time past, present and future graph showing on here too I like what your doing here, keep up the good work :)

There seems to be a bug with the account settings. Once you turn an account off you can't turn it on again. Both me and my husband have P9s and it's doing the same on both. So now I'm unable to track my accounts. Rather frustrating. Before this it worked great. Can you fix it asap please. The call centre hasn't got back to me about it either. Hmmm now I'm annoyed!!! All you asked me to do in your reply I've done constantly and it doesn't work. I've emailed the address you provided and no response at all. Disappointed

Seems OK at first but I cannot find a way to see the previous months spending whatsoever. All it has is "this month" well it's step 1st today and now I cannot see what I spent last week at all. I second other ppls suggestions about making it more personalizeable

I currently only have a Credit card with Westpac (no other accounts), so thought I could use this app to track my spending, which I can. But the main problem is the Monthly spend and totals are Calendar Month, not Billing month. So, I'd like to able to change the monthly summaries to my billing month, which doesn't seem to be possible.

Full of bugs. Keeps crashing. Keeps asking for pin and showing terms ans conditions. Useful to see credit card transactions before they show up in Westpac one. But as that data is clearly available you would have to ask why we can't see it in Westpac one as most other banks do.

Handy, but would be much better if we could edit expenses. For example if a go out with friends and pay the bill, but we all split it evenly and they pay me back, I can't account for this. Would be useful to actually be able to look back on previous spends as well, like many people have already mentioned

Ever since I updated it, it has stopped working. Every time I try to open the app it says something went wrong

Using Galaxy S8. Initially couldnt enter credentials on first time logon. Fields were disabled. Closed app & restarted and worked as expected. Handy app, like it and will be useful.

Well, so far I find application working. Although, spending graph just show current month, it should a provide option to choose previous months as well. And I have manual fix the category for some transaction. I think app should try to get information from transaction description. Kind regards.

Awful experience. Every time I open the app I need to agree to the terms and conditions, go through the tutorial and then go through the terms and conditions. It loops through the first time run condition every single time. Surely it should also remember the types of transactions you make as well? If I classify southern cross health insurance as health or insurance, future bills should be the same category. Yet every time it comes through as cash and I need to change the category. Oh and go through and accept the terms and conditions a few more times.

Very average app. Mortgage repayments are cash?? Come on now Westpac. There are multiple issues with this retarded app. I want to be able to to change the date range to the 20th of the month as that's when I am paid. Making the range as each month does not work.for salary people. Dogshit app needs a hell.of alot work. Surely some at Westpac or their outside app designer should take some.pride in their design and look at all the comments and actually do something about it. Pathetic really! Regards, Very frustrated app user

Uninstalling as no improvements have been made in months and as is the app is not providing any value. Need to be able to compare spending with past months, reports lack details and doesn't remember any transactions. A potentially good idea and something I would like to use but so far it's pretty pointless.

Whenever I get notified of a purchase it keeps crashing and says "unfortunately cashnav has stopped working...blah blah blah". Aside from that it's good for people who have forgotten they were still paying for a subscription like I did. Alerts you as soon as a transaction from your account has been made. Pretty handy.

C70%
by C####:

Would be nice if it remembered anything... I have to accept terms every time, change categories every time, and lack of configuration options makes it useless for budgeting. This shop is useful for knowing when money has come out of your account, but if you're the only one using your accounts, that becomes useless as well. Nice idea, very poorly executed.

I would really like to try this app, but the login screen will not take anything other than numbers, making loging in impossible, as Im not changing my password for an app. And the user id is quite inconvenient as I dont know my customer number off by heart.

J70%
by J####:

1) Categories limited - needs mortgage/rent, clothing, insurance etc & MUST have the ability for customer to create own categories. 2) Needs ability for user to link a particular company to one category BUT also be able to do a one-off override in certain circumstances. 3) Why have categories such as gifts, payments etc, yet not include in graphs. Doesn't truly reflect a person's financial activity. 4) MUST include deposits otherwise only half the story. 5) GET RID OF WANTS/NEEDS DIVISION - UNNECESSARY!!!

L70%

I really like the idea of this app but it has some annoying issues. Every time I purchase anything, I get a notification telling me the app has crashed and asking to send feedback! Also every now and again my auto payments for rent etc, show as a spike in spending? It would be great if you could look back in the previous months, just the graphs would be enough.

Support says the app works for the Westpac Electronic Account... which I have. However the app says no accounts are loaded. I reinstalled the app and it said it was loading transaction history but alas to no avail. Nicely designed but I just wish it would work for my account.

It would be better if you could set up your own categories. I want to track what I am spending on the children's wants. Also it does not recognise new world as a grocery shop and I have to change it each time. It would help if it would remember changes.

C70%
by C####:

Lots of comments on category and what people want bit even with your update you seem to have ignored the users. Why no mortgage option? You are a bank after all. Removing app as its not worth the space or time to keep correcting entries such as mitre 10 being travel.

Finally this is working. Was getting the "unsuccessful" error regardless how careful, even though web site worked, but now I was in first time (this round). So good on them for fixing the problem. Cash tank still a problem child though. This OK.

B70%
by B####:

Good app. I can see the intention behind it. I think some categories can be added or an option to add categories should be added. The way the app automatically categorises transactions could be improved. Fees should be categorised elsewhere as they are compulsory so its neither a need or a want. Changing one transaction should change all other transactions for the one supplier. Calculations aren't based on real time. Hasn't taken into account transactions I made on the weekend due to banks delayed system

After a complete month of using this app I have definitely spent less than average. Except the month has just changed and now I can't see how much I saved in October!! One more graph showing each months total spending would be great so we can track our progress. Catergories are good enough (Pet would be useful!) And not a hassle going in daily and making sure payments are categorized correctly. Thanks team.
