Dragon Remote Microphone

Running with Dragon 13. Doesn't seem as accurate as my handheld mic. The whole idea was to allow me to move around and dictate but it's so inaccurate, I have to stay in front of the screen to catch errors and make corrections. Otherwise, I go back and can't even decipher what it decided to type. Needs improving.

I'm a long time Dragon user & would not be without it. Used to keep this app for when I forgot my headset but now use every day as I prefer to be able to stand or pace whilst working. Just changed to a new phone, v easy to do with the barcode scanner & works better than ever with Dragon 13.

I have to give this app a five star. It works just as well as the microphone headset that came with dragon naturally speaking. Took me less than 5 minutes to set up, all you have to do is read the directions and follow them.

No matter what I did to the app, the laptop, the laptop app, etc...it would not work on my droid. I tried everything and the microphone would not turn green, it just kept telling me to 'try again.' This app is pointless... which is a shame because I had high hopes

It took a few days to figure out the firewall setting, but after that it is a solid app. If you have problems, add it under network connection and make sure the port is opened. All that info is found when you scan the bar code. Best of luck.

HEADS UP!!! For those of you thinking about switching to Dragon Naturally Speaking 15. This is no longer supported. I don't know who's idiotic boneheaded decision that was, but I would never have upgraded had I known that.

Love this app. Works as well as my usb headset. Would get 5 stars if I could lock screen and continue dictating. Would be great to be able to put phone in pocket while dictating. When I try it now, eventually the phone activates another app and Dragon stops.

Installed using the barcode option with no issues and was dictating to my computer just seconds later! Finally a product that helps me get stuff done instead of making it more difficult!

I have the same problem as apparently a lot of people here. The app connects and works fine the first time I use it and afterwards shows connection errors. Very little help from Dragon support who just told me it was a common problem and there wasn't much I could do about it. I've been a Dragon Naturally Speaking user for many years but I am rapidly going off this company.

No instructions on setup for version 11.5, though Nuance site states that will work with 11.5. It won't. Perhaps they "misspoke." The app can't connect to computer. No option to use when creating profile. Don't waste your time trying to make this work.

First instruction is "select menu ",only there's no menu. Then I have to manually enter profile info and it wants my ip address. Instantly too difficult. Instantly deleted.

I gave the app my IP address and now my WiFi doesn't work as well as it did before. My mum tried to check in at the airport and she cant access the internet now. And I know its not just our WiFi because since I gave it my IP it doesn't work. 1 star

Giving up with this. Tried hard, but constantly disconnects, then won't reconnect as says another remote already connected. And didn't work with tethering as demands wifi even though my ip is visible.

Won't connect. I keep getting a 'connection problem detected.' Everything is on, connected to wifi. There is no help on the nuance site, no information anywhere. I have the firewall turned off. I have no idea what is going on.

If I wanted to think only when I'm in front of a desktop, I wouldn't leave my house and I wouldn't download this app. I don't care what your selling, this app should have standalone capabilities. Otherwise it makes little since. Thank you

The only way to get this to work is to purchase Dragon for the computer, so I don't have, can't use the app.

THANK YOU for making this app. Only giving it four stars because it was kind of a hassle to setup/not intuitive. But I figured it out eventually thanks to a little Google searching :). The accuracy is really good so far, better than speaking to my computer.

Bar scan fails everything on screen and after printing it out. Do not connected to computer. What a joke. Make it user friendly. I have been using computers for 33years.

This app takes up way too much CPU, is lagging and frustrating to work with because it relies on being on the same Wi-Fi. no offense I love Nuance but they don't have the best history in the technical support arena so we partnered and built our own remote Mic to fix the problem. I decided to partner with Nuance to offer remote mic in the cloud. We offer a solution that lets you talk into any phone and that will type on your computer just like this app claims to do but fails. We work over telephone network

I don't usually write reviews, but wow. This app is pretty amazing. It's a little cryptic to set up (you have to have Dragon running on your computer, where you can add a handheld device dictation source to your profile), but once you scan the barcode, and pair your phone to your laptop (via wifi), this app is really amazing. I can practically walk around my house talking to myself and dictating into my cell phone. Amazing and Outstanding. I'm kinda blown away right now.

You have to guess, guess, and then guess. You must configure this app with no information and no help altogether. Strange that a seasoned software house like NUANCE made such a poor product.

The app works fine if i have to dictate from any hard copy or so. But when i have to dictate from a pdf file available in my phone only, the application terminates immediately as & when i press the home button to access my pdf file. Please solve this crucial issue. Please please...

I love it but can never figure out whats my Port number...Any suggestions on an HP laptop?

Can't get a barcode from my version of dictate. Won't connect the microphone. Circular troubleshooting, no help files, this is crap software.

There should have been more information regarding how the app works and that fact that you need to have dragon on your computer!

You will need to purchase the dragon software to use this app.....it will not work if you don't have a bar code to scan

Works really well and does exactly what it was meant to. Makes dictation easier. Only drawback is that it can be a little slow when toggling the mic, but not a huge deal.

Seamless with Dragon 12.5 on my LG G3. Works perfectly! Now I can dictate from my recliner across the room from my computer. Awesome little app but a bit confusing to get working. Had to Google instructions. Other than that, perfect!

I simply love it when an app does it's job without fuss, and does it well. Anyone rating this under 5 stars is either: not using it properly, doesn't understand how it works in pairing with your Dragon PC settings, or has not followed the setup instructions properly on this or their PC. This works superbly on my 5 android devices used with Dragon 12.0 on a PC and 2 other laptops. Notably it works in any of the manifold Androi to PC combinations too, which is frankly astounding and more than one could expect in reasonable outcomes for just one User Profile on all the equipment.. I guess there's nothing more to add but a big WELL DONE to Nuance. Thanks from a HEAVILY RELIANT Dyslexic for making life just that bit less irritaing by helping to make my Dyslexia issues less of an obstacle to PC access. I suffer Adult Onset Dyslexia due to poisoning in 2004. It's hard to emote fully just how much Dragon made " my life changes" easier to come to terms with since, I started using it in 2006. It's gets better each new version and the offers to update are well priced and worthwhile. Thanks so much for your continued excellent work, and this superb Android compatibility. CRO' :-) .

Makes many mistakes in transcribing, which takes a long time to correct. So not sure how much time I am saving after all.

Works very well. Used the barcode to autodetect settings. The accuracy is so good that I replaced my Andrea usb headset and use my phone exclusively for dictation. Since it is over wireless, range is as far as your WiFi allows. Plus I can leave it on my desk and dictate without holding it up or wearing a headset. Really easy to use and effective. Very impressed.

Will not successfully scan barcode on Dragon box and will not let me manually enter barcode numbers.
