About MandelDroid
Play, generate and explore Mandelbrot Family Fractals.
Currently support following fractals:
- Mandelbrot
- Burning Ship aka "Absolute" Mandelbrot
- Perpendicular Burning Ship aka "Absolute Imaginary" Mandelbrot
- Perpendicular Mandelbrot aka "Absolute Real" Mandelbrot
Currently support following color schemes:
- Standard (classical fractal coloring)
- Cosmos (B/W colors used in old 1980's magazines)
- Reverse (similar to standard)
- Several cyclic (B/W, Fire, Ice, Turquoise)
- Retro (colors used in 1990's PC's)
- None (educational scheme used to see the fractal itself)
Application contain several "Touristic Areas" where you can discover strange and mysterious treasures.
Application is under GPL and full source code is available at github.
Whats new in version 1.1:
- Export wallpaper
- If there is no hardware menu button present, the menu is bind to back button

- Lower target Android version to 3.0
- New coloring schemes
- Completely remove Math.abs()

User-friendly. Hope you will add more gradients and color schemes that reveal the finer details as your RETRO does. Like the preset fractals and that you can touchscreen zoom render. Hope you will continue to add more effect features and better quality rendering when zooming. I think it is a good app but it didn't take long for me to grow bored.

2048 iterations, pinch zooming and image saving are great. The reason this app is my favourite mandelbrot Explorer is the "touristic destinations :)" feature.

Too few features; have to kill to exit; zooming is very clumsy and too limited.

Really good app. Easy to use and zooms in much further than other mandelbrot explorers. In some areas 2048 iterations isn't enough though. Let users set that manually and I'd give it 5 stars. And if its possible to have it zoom in still further it would really rock.

It is very fast. It can zoom a long way - About 10^100. Great
