Riddu Riđđu

Riddu Riđđu Festivàla er en internasjonal urfolksfestival, som årlig finner sted i Kåfjord kommune i Nord-Troms. I over 25 år har Riddu Riđđu jobbet for å skape en sterkere bevissthet og stolthet rundt det samiske. Gradvis har festivalen vokst seg større og blitt en betydelig og viktig del av den samiske kulturreisinga i de sjøsamiske områdene. Festivalen er utendørs, og har programtilbud for hele familien. I løpet av fire dager tilbyr Riddu Riđđu over 100 ulike arrangement. Programmet inneholder verdensomspennende urfolksmusikk, kunst, teater og dans, ungdomsleirer med kunstneriske og politiske workshops, barnefestival, dagsaktuelle seminarer, omfattende kursprogram, film og litteratur. Festivalen er Europas største og viktigste scene for samisk- og urfolk, og festivalområdet i den lille bygda Manndalen gir en unik ramme for festival. Riddu Riđđu Festival is an international indigenous festival, which annually takes place in the municipality of Kåfjord in Nord-Troms. For over 25 years, Riddu Riđđu working to create a stronger awareness and pride around the Sami. Gradually, the festival has grown bigger and become a significant and important part of the Sami culture Traveling in the Coast Sami areas. The festival is outdoors, and has programs for the whole family. During four days offer Riddu Riđđu over 100 different events. The program includes worldwide indigenous music, art, theater and dance, youth camps with artistic and political workshops, children's festival, topical seminars, comprehensive training program, film and literature.
