Thyme is all about helping you make that delicious meal. Whether it´s for yourself, for your family gathering or for that perfect dinner with your best friends, you´re quite likely to need more than one of the burners on your stove. You might use one for sweet potatoes, one for the carrots and one for grandmas epic cranberry sauce. You might even have something juicy sizzling in the oven. This is a quite common scenario in most homes. But setting timers for everything you got cooking in a logic and simple way hasn’t always been that common.
Thyme is a smart kitchen timer app that helps you do exactly this. The app gives you five timers. And they are all layed out like your kitchen stove. Four burners on top and an oven on the front. The intuitive and unobtrusive two-step interface is simple to use and lets you set all the timers you need in a jiffy so you can keep focusing on your food. And when the timer is done, it will simple notify you with a ring-a-ding and a message saying “Your top-right stove just finished!”.

I love the separate timers for hob/oven, which are presented very visually and make a lot of sense when you have a few things on the go. Unfortunately, I've found that only the oven timer produces a sound/vibration on my phone (galaxy s5), so I have to look at the visual representation of the hob timers. If that were fixed, this would be the only app I needed for timing :)

Update 4-22-17 It crashes and is unusable on nougat. It's a great so but simply doesn't work anymore. Pixel Needs the ability to keep the screen on the entire time.

Stuck since 2014 and uses up to 194Mb of RAM. Low volume alarm and not configurable. Users are not aware of a good but undocumented feature (and this can lead to errors). Swiping circles inside of any timer clears it. Many commercial ovens have 5 up to 6 burners and app cannot hold that on configurations. There is no history of alarms what can represent a problem in case of any problem (app, user or system ) there is no clue of how many time was passed for each running alarm before crash / error.

My favorite thing about this app is that nearly every time the alarm goes off, it has a mini crash. No, I'm not being sarcastic, I love it. Because every time it crashes, my phone gives me a little error message telling me that, 'Unfortunately, Thyme has stopped'.

The alarm volume is linked to your phone's volume settings, so if you don't remember to check your volume settings at the same time you set your timer, there is a strong chance you'll miss it when it goes off. I haven't had to do this with other timer and alarm apps, so I don't know why it has to be necessary here. It's a shame because I like the look and design of the app. It just lacks reliability.

I love everything about the usefulness and simplicity of this app, but every time the timer goes off, I get a notification that the app has stopped working. It doesn't seem to actually crash when it says this (it doesn't force close, it stays in my Taskbar and when I tap it, it opens like normal), so it wouldn't be a problem, BUT the noise and vibration won't shut off until I've clicked the "okay" button on the crash notification and even after that for a moment. It's a little annoying!

I use this app several times a week, usually for timing how long I want to leave clothes in the dryer. It is a two-touch task (one to open the ap, one to pull the timer hand around to the number of minutes.) My clock ap, like most clock aps, has a timer, but it is a 5 touch process.

Used to absolutely adore this app. Now, it crashes instantly and is completely useless. Fix crashing and I will vote 5 stars. I am using stock Verizon Google pixel XL.
