The application fetches info from Anime News Network's excellent encyclopedia of anime and manga.

Whenever I try to get this app running, it didn't make it for more than two seconds. It always says, "Unable to update database. Please try again later." Well, later came around 8 times and it's still not working. I don't like giving bad reviews...but this app isn't even functional. It's just a waste of storage. If you could fix this somehow, I would be very grateful, and I'm sure I would improve my rating by quite a bit.

Update: Developer fixed this issue so I have modified my review. This is a good app and very useful. Everything past here no longer applies. --Took me forever to figure it out but this app breaks default home on Samsung Galaxy S4. I finally noticed that this app was listed in the default home apps and selecting anything did not matter it would still ask every time. When I removed this app, it fixed the problem.

Very helpful. Gives you details about anime. Very specific. Only thing I would do is make the anime cover bigger. Only thing missing. But very informative of the anime you search for. GS3

I love the app. It's the only one of it's kind, the only app that draws from animenewsnetwork for the encyclopedia function and I am thrilled that it is still being updated. I would highly encourage the developer to update the app's interface. Just a flatter interface would look more appealing, maybe a slideout drawer from the side with some navigation options to make the app a little easier to get from place to place. Please consider this and put this in the app. It'll take the app from good to great. Thank you for the great app.

Not really big anime expert, but ANN seems to be a good source of info. I wonder how hard would it be to fetch ratings as well...
