Chess Tournament™ for Android
I paid over $17 after tax for this app (even though I felt it was too expensive for having such minimal features) because I felt it was the best chess tournament manager available. And, don't get me wrong, I still do to some degree! However, upon downloading and installing it on my Android phone, I realised that I couldn't backup my tournament data for export. I recently bought a Google Pixel C tablet and want to use it instead of my phone. So, I emailed the creators twice in over two weeks asking them if there was a way to backup the data and import it into the app on my tablet. I never received a response to either email. I feel that, after paying such a premium for this app that I should receive, at the very least, a response saying they're very busy and will get back to me shortly. I received nothing! I would like to rate this app only 2 stars due to poor customer service, but I also believe the app itself deserves 4 stars (NOT 5 stars because there is no data backup, export and import function). So, to be fair, I'm only rating it 3 stars. I hope the creators will remedy these faults quickly or else lose a otherwise excellent project to poor customer service.
It forces for blitz match in case of equal points of the players. We don't have the option to turn it off. Even in the first round it forces blitz match and there is no option for a draw. Rest all the things are fine. I am feeling cheated. I hope i can get my money back. Pls dnt install until this issue is fixed
Does not assign byes accordingly. Lowest rated player is supposed to get a bye. It assigned it to a higher rated player
In Round Robin no option to enter number of games for each pair. For ex. 4 players really may play 3, 6, 9, 12... rounds in Round Robin (playing 1,2,3,4... games with each other). But here only 3-round tournament possible for 4 players.
A very handy tool for chess arbiters/coaches & chess organizers like me. Makes my job a lot easier in managing my chess tourneys. Please fix the Swiss format: the norm is the top half of the field versus the bottom half in the first round thereby avoiding top seeds battling early.
So do I have to enter all the results for all rounds only then I can save my tournament? I need to play one round and save the tournament and continue later.. Other wise this app is useless and there's free apps handles this feature better

At a time when good chess tournament apps are rare, this one gets the job done. Well done gentleman! Looking forward to an update at any price. Thank you. Arthur Lane.
Works great on my device!
