Alternative to using the official NissanConnect EV apps from Nissan.
Note that the climate timers you set in the app are not the same as the timers you can see in the car itself, but separate timers that exists in Nissans servers.
These timers act differently from the in car timers as well; they state when you want to start the climate control , while the in car timers state when they should be finished.

If you purchase the LEAF Manager widget, you have to manually add it to the home screen using one of these methods:
- Press Home button followed by Menu button. Select Add -> Widgets -> LEAF Manager.
- Press Home button to show the home screen. Tap and hold your finger on any available space, select Widgets -> LEAF Manager.

Touch and hold the LEAF Manager widget
Drag the widget to the particular spot on a Home screen
Drag right or left to put it on a different Home screen

The App is very reliable and does a better Job than Nissan (that's why I use it) however as it focuses on its core functionality it lacks many features. UI and widgets look dated. No differentiation between 7/3KW or time to finish charging. No tasker integration / updates through intents. doesn't have the trip / expenditure history. The positive side is the 12 bar battery status has a % estimate which removes the maths guess work. Provides logs, auto updates, and is very reliable.

Far, far better than the Nissan OEM app. God, I wish Nissan would get their act together. This app needs to work around so many of Nissan's annoying bugs. One that it doesn't work around, though, and gets a star knocked for, is auth token expiration. Instead of simply re-logging in for a new token, it presents a cryptic (401) error, fixed by going to settings and pressing "log in". Fix that and it's a winner! Worth the price for widget, too.

Go for the pro version to get the widget and auto update options. Neat use of bluetooth sensing to deduce car start/stop to enable auto-update. Very responsive (compared to Nissan app) and far more reliable (less communication errors, also auto-retry option for the auto-update). Widget is great for home screen status reminder of leaf and easy access button to turn on the AC remotely prior to heading for car. Some slight ui issues - very nearly a perfect app. Reduced to four stars due to the new 401 error still occuring in past few months when the Nissan app used, need to re-login and the widget UI issues remain.

The widget doesn't seem to work on Android 8 Oreo. Worked fine on Android 7. I do get "error 401" most of the time which is annoying and means that autoupdate hardly ever works.

Simple to use.. If a bit ugly user interface. But everything you need is in the app. Edit: Used to run fine but now it just gets error 401. The automatic charging notification is now pointless. NOT WORTH GETTING THE PAID VERSION ANYMORE (until error is fixed).

So much better than the stock Nissan app. Really like the widget and the functions work very well. The only two problems I have found are the awful appearance (I paid for premium so hopefully contributing some dosh towards a professional set of art work) and that there is a large delay between hitting buttons (e.g. Start climate button on widget has a five second delay on press before any user notification). Perhaps add an immediate 'contacting server' notification on press. Otherwise a superb job! Just downgraded to three stars because still no UI update!

It does work...ish. It worked ok, then gave me 401 error so I logged back in and no longer get the error but it's incredibly slow. It spends minutes retrieving data from the server and recently just returned everything as invalid...

Would be 5 stars if it would automatically relogin when auth cookie expires and UI would have some tuning. UI is a bit clumsy, could have all main functions in one page instead of multiple tabs which need scrolling. Best feature compared to nissan app is backgrounding all tasks, even though that is how everything should work...

The widget stops working on Oreo. I received the error message saying problem loading the widget. Other than that, it's a fantastic app. Thank you!

Pro tip: don't use it in conjunction with official app. That messes it up. The UI is subpar but it works. Love being able to click the widget to start the heater. Live in Norway...

Excellent. Far superior to the stock app, particularly the widget. Edit: I recently upgraded to a Pixel, and it seems the widget buttons occasionally gray out. Seems random. Sometimes it's one button, sometimes it's all of them. Launching the full app fixes this. Don't see a way to report a bug, so just adding here. Can we get an update?

It's very useful but could do with a UI update (to make it look pretty). I'd like to see estimated charge time, and a home screen with the 'climate on' button. Overall, a very good app! :)

More than I can say for the Nissan EV which won't even let me log in on my Chinese phone. Japan and China never did see eye to eye. Not as much general info as the Nissan app but it tells me what I need to know when I need to know it. Update April 2017... I now have a Google Pixel phone. This app will not work at all but the Nissan EV one works fine. Weird world we live in!
