Geocaching Droid Army Knife for Android
I think there are better apps but this is ok. The only thing is that the icons appear to be incorrect. Instead of away marking icon l am getting a Wherigo icon etc. I also cannot get the GPS to accurately tell me the distance to this Cache from my location, All Caches are stuck on 15,000 km away. My gps does work . I think this app could be better.
Map always shows zero caches. Explored app for possible settings issues. Still nothing.
It always shows that there are no caches around . I don't know if it's my fault , because I never used one of this apps .
I can't log the caches and refresh cache. I don't know if its my tablet problem or your software??
Super. Werkt als een tierelier. 100% offline met goeie kaarten, API calls, import PQ's... Alles wat een paperles cacher nodig heeft!
I'm ignorant about caching. Help was no help at all. It is dead in the water.
Live API does not show all available caches in the area. For those it does show, the data is not up to date. A local cache that had been found 2 days ago and logged only shows logs up to last October!
After trying them all I have settled with this one. Not perfect but neither are the others. I suspect that most of the bad reviews are from people who don't really understand how to use it. Would benefit from some decent documentation. I particularly like the way it can use offline maps.
I use cgeo as my primary caching app, but I couldn't live with GDAK. It allows me to store thousands of caches without waiting forever for them to load. Great to have access to my full database of caches while on the go!
Just what I was looking for an android app that works with GSAK This is the best Geo Caching app I have used
Uninstalling
What the heck is the compass pointing at? First I thought it was the cache. But then I rote the device with out turning my body and the arrow seems to be pointing north.
I used to use this a lot on a Samsung S3. Now I have upgraded to an HTC M9 all the SD Card databases are empty and cannot be written to! There appears to be an issue with GDAK requesting read write access from the OS. Can this please be fixed? Until then one star......
Great app once I figured out how to us it
Does everything I want. Still loving it now I worked out how to get the pq download to work. Just click refresh.
Works perfectly with GSAK on computer. Simple to transfer databases to phone once you get the hang of it.
Doesn't seem to do anything that C:Geo doesn't already do better.
Whats up with the restriction for basic members-I should have heard of it, but the web and other apps dont suffer from it. Uninstalling.
My only troubles apparently started with KitKat update. Developers here responded to my complaint (thought problems were from an update of theirs) which educated me. I'm sure as soon as I change my data storage behaviors that Google will let me run this fine program again.
Love it
Does everything I want.
Love this app and still loving it. Just wish we could log tbs with it. It is great to have the offline maps installed so I am not constantly chewing away at my data plan.
I have GSAK on my computer. Loaded all my databases into GDAK and they all opened!! Looks like my old palm pilot just saw it's last trip to the woods geocaching. All data is on phone now! Great app - love it!!!
All works well on Samsung Galaxy TAB P7500 except the left pane disappears when Image tab and Listing tab is selected. Need to tap the right pane for it to reappear, else all is good - V3.21.05
I cannot fault gdak. It does everything I need plus more.
Great for logging offline and exchanging between GSAK. Really like the API access. Highly recommended.
Constant force closes, never loads caches, better apps out there for same thing but actually work.
DroidX - always says no caches, though there are hundreds around. And I paid for the ad free!
Great app for the evo4g. Did a Google search to learn how to load the caches from gsak and the rest was a piece of cake.
Scrolling on the map screen is not smooth, even on a fast phone with an empty database. There's no way to deselect a target, except by going back to the database and selecting the map view, which unfortunately recenters the map again. That makes browsing awkward. Finally, the lack of map choices is really limiting. It's a good start, but just too clumsy to use often.
It doesn't seem to want to accept the gc codes
I use it every time I'm caching. No need to use the browser or another app as long as my PQ's are up to date. Droid Global
All my buddies have another app for geocaching, but I tried it with a GPX from GSAK and it failed to load. With this app I just copymy GSAK databases and I know I'll have all the geocaching info I need offline. Works realy nice. I only haven't figured out out to put the SpolierSync photos in it.
Wont login with my username and password. Uninstalled.
Had to play w the settings to figure this out. A manual or help would be great! Nice gc app once u get it tho
I enter cache info and the app just sits on the entry screen and doesn't do anything. deleted!
Maybe it would be good to explain how to use this shitt.
I have tried loading this thing at least 5 times and like the previous reviewer the database sits empty even though I can see the file on my tablet in the correct directory.
I have tried just about every app for geocaching, and this one easily beats all the others. Better graphics, controls, speed, etc..

This is far and away the best geocaching app on Android that I've found for my needs. (Unfortunately, that isn't saying much since the others are crap.) Offline capability is much better than the others but the interface has many glitches and the app does not work well in low memory conditions. Update: 8 Feb 2017: My token to access the Live API has expired, and the app utterly refuses to retrieve a new one. I get to the page asking me to Allow Access, then when I do I get an error message. I have sent the developer an email explaining the problem because this makes the program unusable. Update: 10 Feb 2017: Developer resolved problem on the backend, and app is working again. Thanks!
