It does not save progress, so you can't go back and see what you've done if you have closed the app. It also has an 1 hour waiting period to take the test if you fail it. I accidentally closes the app and discovered that I have to wait to take the test and all the work I put into the lesson was rest. Very annoying. Also, there is nothing that teaches you how to conjugate verbs. Sometimes the exercises want you to use words that you've never heard or learned. How are we supposed to learn those words? This is supposed to take you from 0 to A2.

The method is good, the app is ok. Please enlarge the user input text boxes, make them wider and/or 2 lines high, as right now you often can't see the entire text you type in, and thats really annoying.

Beware of the effects of autocorrect and SwiftKey. Great app, enjoyable topics and characters. Cleared the course after several months of gradual usage. Grammer text is a bit hard to read and is hidden away. Images are small and unclear. Overall it makes learning fun.

Great, but expect to work hard; where duolingo feels like a game, this feels like a college class (no coincidence!). The method is a good one, but it is designed for use in classrooms, and the lack of a teacher to answer questions is not insurmountable, but does make it more challenging. You may want to supplement it with other resources. I really hope the app designers will add some extra explanatory notes for the benefit of self-studiers, particularly pronunciation things (are they dropping the n in words ending -en, or do I just not hear it?) and in the grammar sections and adding additional vocabulary. Spelling out numbers and letting you tap to hear them (as with other words) would also be very helpful, particularly in early lessons. But overall a very good, effective app for those willing to put in the effort. Glitches: in "tests", the app marks you wrong for spelling out a number rather than using a digit (eg vijf instead of 5), even if it is spelled and used correctly. Occasionally the audio cuts off at the end of a word, esp at the end of a sentence.

It's working fine with no crashes, it pronounces the words when you click on them and shows their meaning in english.

This app is very good, now with the latest update it also works with Android 7.1.1 with Nexus 6p.

This app hugely improved my ability to hear and speak Dutch. I enjoyed the structure of the dialogues and found the listening-comprehension tests immensely helpful. The ability to create playlists and set tracks to auto-repeat would have perfected this app for me.

My phone got upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat and the application has stopped working since then. It just shows the written lines in every lesson and doesn't play any lines or anything. I also tried deleting the app. and then restarting the phone and again installing the app. Even now it doesn't work. I can't even access any other pages than the first page of each lesson. I have my class today and I can't run the CD because my laptop doesn't support one and I bought the app only because of that reason.

I actually have the book. The only thing this aap is missing is the list of words with the translation of the all boek. I hope that they will do an update later on, that will be fantastic. I'm also wating for the "Tweede ronde"

I'm familiar with written material that underlies app, but really like how well it's been adapted for a smartphone with swipe keyboard. The only 2 niggles I've noticed so far are: (1) There's a slight background noise (or feedback?) audible in audio recordings. Could the soundtrack be cleaned up in a future release? (2) It would be nice if you could make screen scroll automatically in steps 2 and 4, ie following the audio track. 2DE RONDE and new 3DE RONDE in near future? I certainly hope so! Well done!

I like the method itself and it is very nicely implemented in this app. It is so interactive and practical, you can listen, have translation and test yourself. It is alsi excellent deal, just the book itself costs around 60e and the app is better an 3 times cheaper. PS: have not encountered any bugs, finished several lessons.

I really like the app since I am taking the course at TU Delft, but my only concern is that the last 7-10 audio clips dont ever play, seems as though they arent even contained in the app, or the app cant locate them... if this issue was corrected, I'd give 5 stars.

The concept and content is really awsome, but the app on my phone is soooo buggy. Kept popping "this app is not lecensed, please buy app", right after i had paied. About 20 minutes later, i could finally open the app, and found the audio stops working very 7 or 8 sentences on my phone, had to relaunch the app 20 times to learn a lesson. Buggy!
