Open GPS Tracker for Android
Good idea, horribly implemented. When losing the GPS signal it stops tracking completely. Still works occasionally, but that's just not good enough on a great day outdoors!
Does exactly what I want; shows me where the trails are and tracks where I've gone. Good stats showing speed, distance, attitude, etc.
Awesome app. Simple to use. Free. Do what I want it to do just record my GPS location and have some info. That's the app I was looking for!
This is a beautiful example of a small (excutable SO small) well designed App. 10 times smaller than some competitors. It does not REQUIRE Google Earth or even Google Maps (some competitors require BOTH). If only more people could still write code like this !!!
Freezes the phone (Xcover 3) when recording, have to remove the battery and restart to recover.
I use it almost daily, and think it is perfect for my needs
Simple to use, but loses signal and stops. Won't resume. Will uninstall it.
Simple and effective. The upcoming version looks to be very good.
Great and simple.
On graphs, why does the drop down menu show literally 'graph type' which then opens a list, instead of just showing the list. ALSO why does the highest point get displayed too high on the graph to read?
I am in Australia. I installed this application, turned it on, and it showed me a map of Europe and Africa. Strange. No idea what to do next. There is a compass arrow in the left bottom corner, and it can be used to start recording a route!!?? I started a new route. But it still shows that I am in Africa. Is this some sort of a joke? And the 0km/h to 20km/h overlay that can't be removed. It is said that it can use Google or OSM. It uses Google, but not off-line, even with up-to-date Google off-line maps inside my phone. I can't find anywhere how to select to use OSM maps. Not impressed
On Nexus 5 with Android 6.0.1 works fine, without crashes. No ads is a welcomed feature.
I usually download apps using aptoid. Just came here to put this remark: this app is working well an does not require google account = Great
I really like the app but it froze up when I was done and wanted to look at my route, please fix
Direct, clean, does exactly what I wanted: tracks my route, gives me the data. Perfect.
Simple, does the job, no unnecessary bloat.
Osm
Simple and eschews the usual complicating functions like sending position to a hidden receiver to track a cheating spouse. No setup needed. Just start, pause and stop. Please add off line maps. Repeat, please add offline maps. Don't forget to add offline maps.
Planning to use this for open water swimming. Put my phone into floating bouy.

The app is good , has all the essential features, but can't export the route in neither of the formats, it just hangs and generates incomplete file that cannot be opened in Google Earth.
I REALLY DON'T know how can I use it please if you want help your supporters help one of them. I'm waiting for your reply. TNX

Does not start at boot time any more. Even when selected in settings.
Nothing work or actually no tracking update position
Added bonus: allows uploading GPS coordinates to a personal webserver. No adds.
No mp when chosen Mapnik layer.
Used to love this app and I used it a lot. But I recently updated my phone to android 6.0 and it stopped working as used. I used to just carry my phone around in my bag, and it tracked perfectly fine, but now under marshmallow, once the screen times out, tracking stopps. (did some testing with other tracking apps + different settings on my phone... all points to marshmallow preventing any kind of gps location update as soon as the screen is off - phone goes to sleep )
Was okay on my HTC one mini.b Now keeps crashing on my Xperia z5 compact
Sum may not like track their travels
Awesome app, I started using it back in 2013 and stopped when Breadcrumbs, well, crumbled. I use it for my driving classes so that parents can see where I have been and with the new upgrade its fast and accurate for what I do. I do have a couple of suggestions for the next version though… #1 I export my files to Google drive and when viewed there the line is a pale blue, and hard to see with no start or stopping markers. (Changing the line color in settings had no effect) #2 Bulk export with the preexisting track names would be great (Now I have to rename every file, as they are exported, one at a time). #3 An iPhone version would be awesome, so all my drivers could use just the one app All in all a great app!

... twice in a row while trying to zoom in on my location I got the now familiar " Unfortunately, Open GPS Tracker has stopped". Not for the Moto X Play I guess.
In general an OK app compared to Google's discontinued app. Nice with color coded track based on speed.
Have used this try to track cycling. Does all that I need and without ads.
Does what it is meant to. Not useful if you want to track your travel by car only, unless you have car docking station for your phone. Does not have an option not to save track that are really short, so if you set to log if plugged in, it will store location you charge your phone and save as a track. Un the track list it does not display the track length, so you will need to look through every single one if you are looking to some specific track. Minimal length is the must have option IMHO
Ok app worked great untill I tryed to use the widget now I can't get to any type of settings, or access my saved routes. Tryed uninstalling and reinstalling then tryed to use with out the widget and I still can't do anything as far as settings, saved routes, or even the graphs showing speed.
It was a very good app. Unfortunately, it has stopped working after I upgraded my phone to android 6. Was expecting an update to fix the problem. Unfortunately, the update has not fixed it and it continues to crash on startup. My device is Mi498, android 6.0.1, exception class is java.lang.NullPointerException. Hoping the crash will be corrected soon. The new update is working once I uninstalled and reinstalled. Thanks.

This has a bug when sending something to my webserver, when a 201 response is received it things it is an error, where 201 is actually Accepted. Also please can you make this perform post requests with a proper payload and some auth header rather than as query strings? If you like to link the Github repo for this project (I presume by the name it's an opensource project) then I may raise a PR. Other than this, works fine for me.
