About Copy Link to Clipboard

Adds a "Copy Link to Clipboard" option to the browser selection menu and the share menu. After choosing "Copy Link to Clipboard", the URL will be copied to the clipboard and briefly displayed without leaving your previous app.

This app is ideal for those who want to see what is behind a link without visiting the URL or leaving current app.

Two use cases:

1. When I read a mail in the Gmail app, I want to know whether the link is real. It is very easy to show "http://example.com" while pointing a mail to "http://evil.com".

2. Viewing websites in Incognito mode. There is no way to directly open the browser in private browsing mode, so an app that offers a way to copy the link target is the best I can do.

How do I find the app where?

J70%
by J####:

As soon as I find it I'll tell you how good it is. I assumed this was an app with an icon on my home page that would give me access to those things that I copied. No it's not. I still can't find anything anywhere. Can someone tell me what and where the clipboard actually is? Dissatisfied and frustrated.

Those of you leaving 1 star and saying the app is "nowhere to be found" are ridiculous. It is not a standard app, but runs as an activity extension alone. When you select a link in any app, the Android OS asks which browser you would like to use. Then you will see this app, select it, and the link you just clicked is copied to your clipboard. Go to any text field and hold it with your finger, when the menu pops up hit "paste" or whatever option is present, poof. Your link in text format. Works well!

There were many times in email I wanted to open links incognito. However prior to this I couldn't. If I tapped and held on the link it would just copy the word, not the URL. This fixes that and also now easier to also copy a link and text it. This is what makes Android awesome are functional apps such as this!
