ReadID - NFC Passport Reader

I've been using this app for a long time on multiple devices, works as advertised! Only minor drawback:If you select the wrong document type by accident(id and then try to scan passport), the error message doesn't tell you so.

Get the read app will be better i thing. But while in demo mode it is just a waste of time. Great app for a demo. But that is all.

Cool, this app is able to quickly analyze Ukrainian ID's and passports.

Just used to check my passport whether still usable or not after thrown my passport into washing machine. Surprising show so much detail. Giving 5 star but the only concern will data leaked outside world? Hope there is no backdoor.

Hi what does authenticity is not validated means i get it after the scan and get all the information. Also verification always fail?

Don't normally leave reviews. Just wanted to say that this is a handy little app. I found out that the chip in my passport is not working. I tested it on my partner's passport which works as it should. Wish I knew about this app before heading to the passport office to be told that they could not check my passport. Thank you so much for this invention!!! Xx

Thanks for your efforts for this nice app as it seems it has worked with multiple European passports. But, it doesn't work with my son French passport issued on May 2017 last month with my Xperia C3 Dual D2502 & Android 5.1.1. OCR is reading Ok, but reading the chip is problem as it shows X beside Access Control every time I am trying to read it. I have sent bug report to you. Please, check & reply me ASAP.

App works very very well, the OCR avoids you to type the information needed in order to decode the chip inside the passport. It was able to scan my italian passports without isseus, and it was able to confirm that one of my passports (in my family) was actually not readable since the chip is damaged. Very well done.

I can scan my UK BRP. Great app, very easy to use and updated information. Can easily validate one's id.

Great app. How can I enable ACCESS CONTROL > SAC ACCESS CONTROL > EAC Is there any full version I can buy? Thank you.

Note that for full support of NXP cards you need a phone with NXP NFC chipset (e. g. Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Xcover 3)

Can read new Turkish id card. Gives good info.

Simply does what it has to do. Note for everyone who is going to say here that it doesn't work - try moving your phone slowly around your document. It took me some time to find out a position where my Samsung S7 sees and reads the chip.

Can read European identity cards via iso14443. Picture transfer is always a bit slow though. No matter.

Works fine with all our ID's tested passport, drivers license and ID card (Dutch).

Doesn't work with newest UK passport. Works with older ones. (4 months old at least)

The romanian pasaport also stores fingerprints but it doesn't retrieve those.
