Hyperion for Android
Love this app and it pairs really well with my Pi and LED setup. Awesome effects and very easy to control. I would love if there were more effects or maybe a way to program your own (user friendly way) and also maybe scheduled feature so that you can have it change colours as the day goes on (smooth transition from light orange, to light blue, to red and then dark blue)
From this app to the pc version or even the full documented website. Every part is amazingly well done. Btw I'd love a fireplace effect!
Worked perfect. Would like to see ability to do sound reactive like the boblight droid app does, though.
App works perfectly. Using a raspberry pi and a ws2812b LED strip.
Needs tasker
Had this app on iphone .. this version is terrible in comparison. Where is the detect server function?
Great app works like a charm after configuring. Would like an option for black border detection for movies though.
Hyperion is ace. App works well. Thanks hyperion!
Big thumbs up.
Must make tutorial for settings and setup!!!!!
If I could add some effects this would be great. There is no effects folder on my phone or on the Raspberry pi. Where can I locate, download and install the necessary effects folder?
This is the best and easiest method for setting up Hyperion for your taste regadrless of lighting solution.
It would be great if there was an alarm/sunrise feature. Great app!!
Needs tasker
Works perfect! Made my setup even more awesome. Paid version to support dev.
My one suggestion; Tasker integration/plugin. That would just add some awesome sauce!
Free version is great, we are here supporting the developers. Keep up the good work.

An Android wear version for the paid app would be great.
Love this... Ambilight on a Raspberry Pi with this is just amazing... 100 ws2801 LEDs are just beautiful.
What more do you need? Well OK maybe the ability to save config changes to Hyperion.config.json
The color wheel works fine but there are NO effects listed under the EFFECTS menu nor any thing under COLOR TRANSFORMS! I tried downloading the free version too just to try and its all the same.
Works brilliantly
Still 5 stars, but and android wear app would be great! ;-)
this works quite well, I had to change the .json file to get the effects listed It should be /storage/hyperion/effects instead of /opt/hyperion/effects. so edit the hyperion.config.json in /configfiles/ so that the effects path is for the folder on openelec
Excellent app for the hyperion light system. Only thing that could make it better would be widgets.
Absolutely love this and Hyperion in general. Is there any way to have a color schedule that sets the color or effect depending on a time rule.. Eg fades through a sun rise in morning, set colours throughout the day and then calming colours at night before auto off... Then repeat each day?
Would it be possible to get a black border detection toggle in the app? I love the black border detection for movies but it sometimes kicks in when it shouldn't during static screens of video games.
Got the free version and was impressed with the ease of connectivity. I then bought the paid version for the effects, but the effects tab in the app is blank! Poop. After moving the effects folder on my PC all is now right! Thanks devs for the help.
How to get effects working?

Great app
Works great, but would like to see the ability to save multiple presets for settings. That way I could easily switch them for different types of films like animation.
Just upgraded from boblight. Love the detailed documentation on GitHub!
Hopefully more features are added soon (colour cycling etc) but off to a brilliant start
Works great even this early on, can't wait to see how far this app progresses!

Need some documentation on how to configure. It seems very straight forward but for some reason it won't connect to my rPi3. I can get my lights to work via the Java app, but can't connect via the mobile app.
