De ondertiteling is aan of uit te zetten en bij kinderfilms kun je, indien beschikbaar, kiezen tussen de originele of Nederlandse stemmen.

Stel heel gemakkelijk een kinderslot in, programma’s kunnen afgeschermd worden voor kinderen met een wachtwoord, op basis van Kijkwijzer-leeftijd.
Problemen met HBO GO?
Mocht je problemen ondervinden met HBO GO, dan moet je contact opnemen met de klantenservice van je tv-aanbieder. Waarom?
Het HBO-abonnement waar HBO GO onderdeel van is loopt via je tv-aanbieder en zij kunnen bij je klant- en abonnementsgegevens, wij hebben hier in verband met privacy-afspraken geen toegang tot. HBO heeft daarom de tv-aanbieders de middelen gegeven om jou te helpen met HBO GO-problemen. In geval van fouten in de software (bugs) kan de klantenservice dit ook doorgeven aan de ontwikkelaars van HBO GO.

HBO GO is beschikbaar bij: Ziggo, KPN, Telfort, Vodafone, XS4all, Kabelnoord, Delta, Canal Digitaal, Tele2, Online.nl, Kabeltex, SKV, Lijbrandt, OnsBrabantNet, en via Glashart Media (Concepts, Kick XL, Solcon, Sparkle, XMS).
Het gebruik van HBO GO zorgt voor veel dataverkeer, houd daarom bij gebruik over mobiel internet je databundel in de gaten.

After every "action", albeit pause, forward, next episode etc, i need tot restart both the HBO app as reboot the chromecast. Only way it works well is to just play and do not touch any controls. Furthermore in the app my history is quite far hidden in a menu, I would expect my last viewed series on the dashboard? Please look at competitors, your app is by far the worst Chromecast experience, which shouldn't be... [update] one star back, Android N Crash fixed in 1 day. Will test Chromecast for more stars
Pathetic piece of crap. Keeps crashing, slow response, frustrating experience. You'd think a company like HBO could afford some decent programmers...

Chromecast icon mist vaak, pas na paar keer herstarten zichtbaar. En de bitrate/resolutie mag wel iets hoger voor een betaal kanaal. -edit- Via de app nog steeds alles in SD
Chromecast doesn't work anymore. (it does work with YouTube, NPO and NOS)
Hbo really needs to sort this app out asap. It is just embarrassing how bad it is really...
Still no Android TV support like the US version of the app, chromecast does not work either... seems they don't care about an online platform at all
Update: Now the option to cast to Chromecast isn't even there most of the time. It's insane how bad this app is. - - - The longer I use it the more astonished I am by how bad this app is. How can this be with such a huge channel like HBO? Can't compare itself to Netflix, not by light-years, and Netflix isn't perfect either. Add to this the lack of content and you can see from a mile away that they are never going to be as big as Netflix or the likes.
Completely HBO unworthy. How can the industry complain about pirated content when paying customers can't even use their app to view legal content! App crashes and freezes. Recently the chromecast support isn't visible, is this an android marshmallow compatibility issue? (note 4 Android marshmallow) This app really needs work done.
Doesn't work. Interface and navigation drawer are very weird on a phone. Not intuitive. Buttons are too small. Would prefer native material design app instead of this miserable excuse for a ui. Users don't give a crap about your brand. They just want an app that works
I literally don't understand how an app can be this bad. It has one job: to play videos. And everything about that experience is the worst it can possibly be. Good thing I'm on a free trial because I will never pay a cent for this awful experience. Get your act together HBO.
And this time have it built by an actual developer instead of the ceo's six year old cousin. Signing up is a horrible process. Logging in takes forever. The app is slow and playing a certain episode of a given season of a show takes more interactions then you could possibly imagine. Every few seconds the app needs to check your connection which takes about ten seconds. This even happens while streaming when the connection is obviously fine.
The app is horrendous. It crashes a lot and uses all kinds of custom gestures to replace the default android actions. Playback on chromecast is very bad and it often disconnects halfway through. Animations hang and loading takes a long time even on a fast connection.
Being a subscriber of canal digitaal I cant even login to say how bad it is. First it would forever stay in "logging in" mode, then after restart it refuses my credentials. Crap it is.
The app itself is ok, although not straightforward to use. Big issue is chromecast support. Incidentally it does work. But mostly not. On several devices. So useless with chromecast.
Sometimes I don't have the chomcast option even coming from the chromecast app. Also you are not able to select English sub. But just the sub. from the country that you are located in. Not even in english spoken movies there is English sub. My girlfriend can't understand any thing.
Vreselijke user-interface. Loopt altijd vast. Chromecasten is een drama.
Na vele keren proberen op verschillende apparaten werkt deze app vrijwel nooit. Een nieuwe versie van Android duurt maanden voor het ondersteund wordt. En de support is waardeloos. Dit is met stip de slechtste app ervaring die ik tot nu toe heb gehad! Nope, laatste versie werkt nog steeds niet.
Cannot watch a full episode without problems, I would list them all, if there weren't a new issue every time.... Considering cancelling my subscription, the is not worth any money!

App blijft een melding weergeven dat er geen verbinding is, ook al speelt de video al af op de achtergrond. Chromecast support is ook zeer slecht, kan de helft van de tijd m'n chromecast niet vinden.
I was hoping the other reviews were exaggerating...
Door deze app zeg ik mijn abonnement bij HBO op.

It crashes all the time
Constant crashes, bad quality and connection (nothing wrong with my internet), bad interface, difficult to navigate, volume is reset to zero eveytime I start a video, no English subtitles even for HBO original content. We pay double for what we pay for Netflix but get half of the convenience Netflix offers.
Werkt echt heel slecht, slaat vast tijdens elke geweldige aflevering. Aanbod is top. Laat HBO een voorbeeld nemen aan Netflix.
Why cant i chose english subtitles? If I want to understand what is being said in valyrian i have to use dutch subtitles. As an english speaker in holland this is extremely annoying

I just subscribed to HBO Go, because my cable company gave me an offer. I read the reviews about this app and thought it couldn't be that bad. It is. Chromecast does not work period. Every app with Chromecast support I've tried so far has worked perfectly, but somehow HBO has screwed it up. The app itself is slow to respond and the layout is convoluted. Also, why is the HBO Go app for Android TV not available on my Nvidia Shield TV in the Netherlands? HBO really needs to step up its support.
Have to force close almost every time I pause, resuming won't work, be it via Chromecast or not. UI is clumsy and doesn't feel Android. What's the point of the Chromecast button (which is easy to accidentally press) on the notification panel. Really, is that, similar to play/pause, an often needed action....? Big letdown, having used the Netflix app for some weeks.
Every 20 seconds or so I get connectivity problems. When I do the check, there is nothing wrong. Unusable

Come on guys, big company like yours, listen to the feedback.. how can you say you fix an issue (Chrome cast play back) BY REMOVING THE FEATURE all together.. this is pathetic, not a fix for weeks, will end my subscription real soon if this isn't solved fast.
