Acute Patient

Through this app, we have opted for a different way of approaching the acutely ill patient, particularly in the first hour of presentation. We have used the ABCDE system from acute medicine as standard for the clinical assessment. By giving answers to pertinent questions, it is usually possible to arrive at a probable diagnosis and the associated treatment.
The aim has remained the same over all the years: to support internal medicine registrars on the first presentation of often seriously ill patients.
