NL Train Navigator is the best travel companion when you travel by train in the Netherlands! You are immediately notified about service disruptions on your railway lines. Live departure times are available for all railway stations, including information about train length. Finally, the journey planner allows you to plan trips throughout the Netherlands. And best of all: it's free and has no ads!
NL Train Navigator provides information about all Dutch railway companies: the Dutch national railways (Nederlandse Spoorwegen), Arriva, Breng, Connexxion, Syntus and Veolia. There is also information available about international trains that run through the Netherlands, including Thalys, ICE International and all trains that cross the border with Belgium or Germany.
Do you often depart from the same stations? It's easy to mark a station as favorite, just check the app settings. You can look up stations quickly by entering a part of the name or its abbreviation. The journey planner is also optimized for speed; you can search for the next departing train or find the last train of the day.
NL Train Navigator sends notifications about service disruptions. You can subscribe to service disruptions for your favorite railway lines, so you are notified about serious service disruptions in advance. You can also choose to disable all notifications.
For Dashclock users: a Dashclock extension is included in the app, so you can see the number of service disruptions in your Dashclock widget. You don't need to install a separate Dashclock extension to use this feature.
The app has a user-friendly and modern Android design, and is also fully compatible with tablets.

Direct een toetsenbord hebben als je begint met een route plannen. Dat zou vanzelfsprekend moeten zijn voor veel Android apps.. En dan de snelheid en overzichtelijkheid... Geen flashy stuff... gewoon super. Top&dank.

I just found this app in the Play Store search results, and I have a feeling I am going to like it better than the official Dutch Railways (NS) app. It is so much faster! Especially when loading/searching the railway stations list, that's one thing the NS app builders never got quite right, but planner results also seem to show up more quickly. You'd miss your train waiting for the NS app... The only thing I didn't see is an option to store a particular travel advice (other than by using the Android screenshot feature). Add that, and you've definitely earned your fifth star.

nah al verschuif ik de tijd dan zie ik nog nix,het kan een goeie app weze maar dan zou ik de trein-samestelling iets specifieker maken ICE's,IC direct,IC-berlijn etc en zou het meteen laten zien want nu geeft ie serieus geen treinsamenstelling aan (is wel aangevinkt) mis dat ook beetje bij de NS-app,enigste app die ik dat heb zien doen is treinlight aleen daar zitte ook de nodige typos in waardoor stations niet erkend worden -.- dus dat schiet ook niet erg op lol,this mss beetje werk,maar je krijgt er denk ik wel zeker meer downloads mee :)

Ik heb deze app gekregen van een NS conducteur genaamd Anton komt uit België en zei dat deze app beter is dan de standaard apps. Hij is zeker een aanrader want gebruik maken en hij is egt accuraat met treintijden. Nu even afwachten of hij ook accuraat is met vertragingen. AANRADER MENSEN

Most important: available also for install on other country ROMs (which the official Dutch Railways app in quite a few cases is not). The only thing missing is the possibility to somehow save planned trips (e.g. to check something during the trip)

what makes it different with other similar application is it has info about disruption. pitty that its only in dutch.

Unfortunately I use a lot the share feature. If I visit someone and I need to be picked up, I swnd the advice from the app to the the person to pick me up. Here I see no sharing options. Fir the rest... I love the colir schema and tje simplicity of use. Please, add sharing with whatsupp, sms.... and more

Quick, to the point app.

Good app for travel around Netherlands and vicinity. Use mainly for trains. Can't yet use online booking. DB app should give some hints.
