CQ-index afasie

Voor mensen met afasie, een taal- of spraakstoornis door hersenletsel, is een vragenlijst ontwikkeld om hun ervaringen met de zorg te meten: de CQ-index Afasie. Zo krijgen ook zij de mogelijkheid om hun mening over de zorg kenbaar te maken.

De CQ-index Afasie is ontwikkeld door het NIVEL (Nederlands instituut voor onderzoek van de gezondheidszorg) in samenwerking met Hersenletsel.nl (voorheen Afasie Vereniging Nederland). De vragenlijst wordt aan de hand van pictogrammen afgenomen in een interview en brengt zeven kwaliteitsthema's in kaart. Vijf van deze thema's betreffen het zorgproces: communicatie en bejegening, informatie, betrokkenheid bij behandeldoelen, behandeling door de logopedist en samenwerking. De overige twee het effect van de behandeling op de communicatie van cliënten en op hun participatie en welbevinden.

Door de ervaringen met de afasiezorg te meten en deze informatie openbaar te maken, kan de CQ-index Afasie bijdragen aan transparantie in de zorg, de positie van de cliënten met afasie versterken en de zorg voor deze cliënten verbeteren. De vragenlijst is opgenomen in het rapport en wordt ook opgenomen in de Kwaliteitsbibliotheek van het Zorginstituut Nederland. Likewise, they have the opportunity to express their views about care.

The CQ-index Aphasia developed by NIVEL (Dutch Institute for Health Services Research) in collaboration with Hersenletsel.nl (formerly Aphasia Association Netherlands). The questionnaire is administered by means of icons in an interview and maps out seven quality themes. Five of these themes concern the care process: communication and treatment, information, involvement in treatment goals, treatment by the speech therapist and cooperation. The remaining two, the effect of the treatment on the communication of clients and on their participation and well-being.

By measuring the experiences of aphasia care and disclose this information, the CQ index Aphasia can contribute to transparency in healthcare, empowering clients with aphasia and improve care for these clients. The questionnaire is included in the report and is also included in the Quality Care Institute Library of the Netherlands.
