Smart Keyboard that learns you
The keyboard is designed to pull things up fast. You don’t need to type full words. It understands shorthand, so if I want to play music by Ratatat I can type ’S’ for Spotify then ‘R’ and 'Spotify: Ratatat' will come right up. It also learns from your choices so next time only 'S' might get the job done.
There’s no registration and none of the data leaves your device.
WARNING: Due to Android restrictions Lock Screens can have annoying display issues on certain device types. Sorry about that. If that happens to you Sesame can turn OFF the Lock Screen setting and still use Sesame as an App Switcher by long pressing the Home Button.
Lock Screen Features
* Keeps your system security in place. Is 100% safe
* Displays your notifications, filters spam
How we use data
Sesame Lock Screen needs to access your data in order to make cool shortcuts for you. I wouldn’t want someone reading my personal data and I’m sure you don’t either, so we designed Sesame to work without needing to send your data to our servers.
We do send ourselves errors reports and basic analytics data to make sure the app is working well. None of this contains personal data. Your data stays on your phone. Send me an email if you’d like to learn more about how we use data.
Sesame Lock Screen is built by Steve Blackwell and Phil Wall (me). I can be reached anytime at phil@sesame.ninja. I’m happy to help with problems and would love to hear feedback so we can make it better.
We hope you like it :)
Makes me more productive by questioning what app I want to open. Even opens specific subreddits! Kind of buggy: screen sometimes shows recent apps; other times shows solely the clock.
need recent apps "on" option by default.
Good and fast
So easy to get used to-- my homescreen is now pretty much clear because I just use Sesame. I have it set to the home button and don't have the Okay Google problem mentioned in another review. Excited for upcoming features, especially hopeful for quick access to group conversations!
I don't need to open app drawer anymore. I just miss an option to decrease the long-press delay.
I don't use it on the lockscreen, but it's better than what even Nova launcher can provide. Now add Telegram contacts. Huehuehue.
I can't use it as a home launcher only appear when unlocking phone keyboard not size according to screen if you fix this things then I will use this as default launcher
Overall, the app does exactly what it's supposed to. The only things that I think it's missing are some searching for certain apps such as Relay for Reddit as an example, though I don't know how realistic a request such as that is, considering its a third party app. It would also be nice if there was some sort of option to be able to change the keyboard for filtering out items to your own keyboard. It becomes difficult for me to type when going to that keyboard, being as it's a completely different sizing.
Every single time I get into the lock screen pad it proposes something. I got it, I know how to use it. This thing on proposing a tutorial without being able to disable it is so frustrating. Removing it immediately!!!
Like the app is nice and all but it doesn't support physical keyboards; I feel like this could be really useful but I can't make the most use of it as it stands.
After a few days most apps you need are within 2 steps. You don't need to go to address book or look for an app. Just start typing. Its improving and devs are welcoming suggestions
I'm so used to it now I can't imagine going back to a regular "swipe, find, scroll"! I love the 'long touch' option on some apps to seek and find SO QUICKLY. Great idea. Love it.
Amazing simple and superb
Already super powerful and love to see what each update holds. The search feature for both maps and contacts has been awesome.
This app changed my life. So useful in cutting out the lag and bs just getting to where I want to go. OPEN SESAMEEEE!!!
Love this app! Just took a few times using my phone for the app memory function to kick in, and now it's an indispensable addition. One suggestion: have the Google Search or web browser pop up at the top of the lock screen by default every time. Google Search also won't show up when typing on the keyboard.
Sometimes opens the settings part of the app instead of the lock screen. Other than that, nice!
It's great so far, other than an issue I have with a 2-3 second lag 1/3 of the time.
So far so good.
I can get where I need to go in my phone in one click where it used to take 3-6. I'm addicted.
This may be a problem partly on my end, but notifications have white text and white background meaning I can't read them. Regardless, a dark mode where notification backgrounds are black would be appreciated
Simply put, i can do every task on my phone faster with this app. I really like the keyboard feature for when i need to call or text someone. Kind of can't believe this type of interface isn't the default.
Saves lot of time and a must have for every smart phone user. Great presentation video.

After using it for a while it really is surprisingly useful. Still not to the point I can't go back, but I can easily see it reaching that point. So far, the biggest issue I've found is OK google detection doesn't work with the screen off or in any app if you set sesame to the home button. Still works on homescreen then though. Not a huge fan of the new one touch to show apps, a toggle for that would be nice.
