About VR skiing
Together with a pair of Virtual Reality glasses and this app you now can go on a crosscountry ski tour in your living room :-).
This is perfect if you need to train for a ski race and there is no snow.
Imagine that you are out on a ski tour and only using pole strokes to move forward, i.e. you are using your upper body together with some knee-bending to move forward (look at the movie above or here https://youtu.be/wEoSrmUSKQY).
When you are doing the same sort of movements when you are wearing the VR glasses will this app use the phones motion-sensors to register when the phone is moving up and down and with this information calculate your speed ahead.
If you not sure how to do this, start the app, put the phone in your VR glasses
and try to do the movements as pictured in the instructions below. Hopefully you then will get some speed and move forward in the virtual ski track.
If you need a training partner to compete against or just do some interval training you can configure this from the options-menu. The training partner appears on the ski track as a green/red ball and it's up to you to follow its pace.
This app is know to working well with Google Cardboard glasses on a Samsung Galaxy 6 Edge and a Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. Hopefully it will work on other phones too.
Please install the free version of this app (VR skiing Free) and see if it works on your phone before you buy this app.
