The Mobile App ARUN(Atal Rooftop solar User Navigator) is developed for Ministry of New and Renewable Energy for the promotion of solar rooftop systems and assistance of installations of solar rooftop systems. The main functionalities of the App includes basic things to be known about solar rooftop systems, Guidelines for installation of Solar rooftop systems, A calculator for calculating the cost of installations, Method of installation of Solar rooftop systems, the schemes and policies related to solar rooftop system of different states, List of State Nodal Agencies and approved private agencies in your state, Frequently Asked Questions about Solar rooftop and the feedback about the App or if you want to enquire something related to Solar rooftop. This App is a simple which will be useful for layman or an agency for installation of Solar Rooftop in their premises. The calculator can be used to get the estimate of installation of solar rooftop system. Through the installation method one can submit their interest request for installation of solar rooftop and the same will go to the concerned agencies of their state and for further help for installations these agencies will contact the customer. The App is developed by National Informatics Centre, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

A very good initiative. Could have been better if more transparency is involved for the Subsidy procedures. An Online Subsidy System is best worth the cause as it will eliminate the confusion regarding the Subsidy claims initiated from the customer end. Anyway a good platform to get enough knowledge before installation from customer end.

It would have been good if they added contact details of Local SDN and official responsible for Net Metering. Today the need of the hour is to educate the Discom official to speedily issue Net Metering approvals and Bidirectional meters
