About TuneLink Auto

TuneLink Auto™ for Android

The universal wireless Bluetooth to FM and Direct Connect in-car audio solution for Android based devices.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE THE TUNELINK HARDWARE ACCESSORY TO FULLY USE THIS APPLICATION.

Tunelink is the most advanced in-car audio interface that provides a wireless Bluetooth audio link between your Android based Smart Phone and your vehicle’s sound system. TuneLink is universal, operating over FM or direct connect to your auxiliary (AUX) input.

Incorporating a best-of-class Bluetooth transceiver, FM transmitter and advanced fast-charge isolated USB charging port, TuneLink brings real innovation to a digital audio accessory market that is crowded with clunky docks, cabled solutions and poor-performing dongle-based FM transmitters.

The TuneLink hardware device is controlled by a free Android application downloaded into your phone. Once you have downloaded the free App, using TuneLink is as easy as PLUG IT, PAIR IT, PLAY IT, SHARE IT! ™

The team at New Potato has built a tailored version of its TuneLink Auto specifically for the Android platform.

Since updating to Jellybean connection is disastrous.... Software looses connected FM frequency on leaving the bt zone, then fails to reconnect for numerous attempts. (2 different units on 2 different S2 phones in different cities, same problem.) I think an update is way overdue. As is at the moment, I would advise NOBODY to buy it until the software is fixed.

This app is meant to accompany a Tunelink FM transmitter which I purchased. It lasted me two months then it stopped pairing with my Nexus 5. I tried using it with my Nexus 7, and while it paired, the transmitter would overheat causing the Bluetooth to disconnect after 10 minutes. I have since purchased a much better alternative.

FM transmitter is crap. The app slows my phone way down. Sound quality is way below standard. Don't waste your money. You'll regret it later trust me.

The hardware sucks. I've been through three of these things now. It's an awesome and handy thing, but the hardware need an upgrade. It will work great for a day or so, then nothing.

It was great while it worked. About 6 months it stopped mt Galaxy 4 and S3 stopped connecting. The windows phone connects without the app. Go figure Please fix it soon!!!!!!

The "appcessory" necessary to make this work costs $100 bucks! You can go to the store and get 5 good quality versions of this for the same price!

Worked for the first year with my Galaxy S3. Now it doesn't any more with my Note 3 SUX

It's a waste of time and money. Better remove it.

Guys any app with an fm converter helps with another device you buy at stores. You need a total different device that will transmit your music from the device to the radio. Your phone does not do this this app only helps the transmitter to play music your phone does not have the ability to do this bc is it doesn't have a transmitter

Hi folk, The TuneLink Auto Android looks lie lottery each time you get one. I have had one TuneLink Android and it worked perfectly. Each time I left my car and come back it paired and connected automaticaly and played music from the point where it stopped when I left car. Just Great. Then I broke my TuneLink when I drive because the lighter contact made it to be in the way when I change geer and use parking brake. So I ordered new since it was so great. But nope! Not this time. The new TuneLink I have bought worked only when I manualy paired and connected it to the car power, so I asked my retailer to replace it whin another one. No problem said my retailer and I got new one TuheLink but this time it was ever worse the new one will not work at all! Believe me I laughed when I saw it. It just do not connect neither to mobile app or the car stereo. So now I try to make my retailer to refund my TuneLink. END OF STORY

I was looking for a way to find clear stations that any FM-Bluetooth transceiver could use to send clearly and work well, and this app does that based on your location. 5 stars. This much works with or without the hardware, and nobody else as far as I can tell has that feature. I didn't buy the device yet, but app works for my purposes anyway.

I don't understand what's the sense of having a wireless signal go to your FM stereo if you have to hook up other hardware to it.my stereo from 2005 which is kind of why I need an FM transmitter. would be convenient if I just could play my mp3's on my phone through an FM channel. but you need hardware wherever that exists, and even if you did have that hardware would it even work probably not. these apps nowadays are almost just as bad as ads that you see on sites they're pointless

The device works well with lollipop, even CM. It is hard to tune, but once you do it the quality is fair.

Dont download the app because it has nothing good to offer, rather it will take more space on your device

The purpose of getting this was to be safer as I drive. The radio transmitter quality is horrible as people say, but I found plugging in the aux gives a much better quality. My concern is this.... Why doesn't this communicate with the controls in my steering wheel? It doesn't skip tracks when I hit the button on the steering wheel thus making me have to interact with my phone and look away from the road while driving. This defeats the purpose. Can this be fixed or are we stuck with this inconvenience?

App is OK, but hardware is rubbish. Worked great for a while, but now refuses to connect to any phone with bluetooth. This is a very common issue if you search the Web. Can't believe the quality is so poor for such a premium priced product

This app works perfect with the tune link radio transmitter (sold seperate). My wife bought the iPhone transmitter for a Xmas present which didn't work with my android phone, returned it for android replacement and works perfect. Nice app and transmitter, very happy

After unfortunately misplacing my first transmitter I looked into a new one. I spoke with Jeff on the customer service team who informed me that if you purchase the iPhone transmitter it allows you to use both Android and iphone software. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. A must have for extensive trips.

So looking for an FM transmitter and installed this one and open app said I need the hardware, okay search for hardware AND turns out its only available for the apple app store, so why make this app available for us yet we can't use or DL the other half we need in order to get the services we were hoping to get from you, It's just a bummer. Samsung Galaxy S4

Almost impossible to get to pair. Even when it does the app doesn't see the pairing anyway. Tried for over 2 hours to connect with s4 with a complete fail. Hook to Motorola DROID RAZR max works everytime.

S70%

Bought the device ($ 74.16 on Amazon), downloaded the app...... and now it turns out I have to buy a CAR to put it in. EPIC FAIL...... should not have to buy a car to use this. How am I going to be able to play the music on my phone without a car to listen to it? Worst product everrrrr.

W70%
by W####:

My S3 was glitchy. My S4 has had 0 issues with it, in fact its great. Worth the $100. However the iPhone model I bought for my girlfriends iPhone 5 is a piece of crap. Never looked into it much though.... but the iPhone version sucks as far as I can tell

S70%

What a waste of time and money! Worked OK for a few month regularly having to manually connect it to the device. Now can't connect through bluetooth reinstalled app and doesn't even recognize device now. Worst forty quid ever.
