dbell HD Live for Android
Why does it say you have a weak admin username when the standard and also default username is 'admin'??? Also like others have mentioned, the user interface is terrible. It's not easy to understand how to do anything. I want it to record as soon as someone approaches (or at least record when you press the button), you would think this would be automatic. Nope, can't understand how to do it. And how do you see the recordings anyway? Again you would think it would be easy to do but nothing can be understood. The FAQ is so elementary, I would hope it would be a little more in depth. The hardware seems more than capable, just wish more investment into the UX. Good luck!
This app consists of a lot of amazing options I was looking for like not having to connect the device every time there's a power outage or when my wifi fails. Great to see this kind of technology popping up in the world!
App is intuitive, dbell setup is easy, very happy with it. I use NVR to record the footage 24/7. Good job for a startup company.
This app works very well and is easy to install. But it is a battery hog. Very noticeable through the day, even if I never look at it. It also should keep a log of when my doorbell was rung, perhaps snapping a picture in the process in case the ring was missed on my phone.
The app works and connects to the Wifi easily. Please work on the software, your Icons are so small and there's so much wasted empty space around it. A nice Apple like icons would be great! Please let us choose between 12H and 24H time format. It shouls be fairly easy code to compile. Can you also make the text labels (i.e date and time) smaller or user can choose what size, they occupy too much on top of the screen. Also another great option is to let user choose HD and non HD modes. I really can't tell if this is HD or not as it is not sharp.
Concept is good, but it doesn't deliver. MotoG3 phone constantly froze so I had to uninstall. My Samsung galaxy tabS2 continually warned that app had stopped and device should be restarted. Problem never resolved even with multiple support tickets. Uninstalled, and now even if I wanted to reinstall, it is impossible to do without hard wired connection to router. Further, firewall at work made monitoring impossible by wifi. So I own an expensive doorbell. Not recommended.
The dbell hardware is great, but the software is quite weak comparing with its competitors like Ring. Constructive feedback: 1. When u press talk, u can hear anything, when u listen u can't talk. This is noticeable difference with Ring, where u can talk and listen at the same time like doing face time 2. Battery drain is higher than other apps 3. Motion detection isn't great. No matter if I set to 10 or 1, motion alarm still goes off when the camera is pointing at the door and the brick wall where no motion is possible. Motion was triggered by rain and... Wind? Overall it's okay, but if dbell can address the software weaknesses, I am sure dbell is a 4-5 star product.
This app is horrible on a Samsung s7. Doesn't work as well on samsung like it works on Apple.
Does it's job, but the battery usage is around 35% or more on LG G4 and that is unacceptable.
Good doorbell, have more awareness around your house.
It's okay!
This video doorbell was simple to set up and is much improved over the earlier versions. Extremely happy with it.

Horrible battery hog. Drained my battery to 19% in 8 hours. Phone was otherwise idle for the vast majority of that time. Numerous instances of bad grammar in messages is a dead giveaway that this was programmed by some offshore programmer who has no grasp of the English language. Even the most cursory examination by a QA person would have spotted these. The hardware itself seems to be pretty good but this app gives it a really cheap, cheesy feel. Web interface on the doorbell is equally cheesy. Many options that make no sense (PTZ for example), more bad English (e.g. "Singal lamp").
