About The New American Bible
This app contains the New American Bible (NAB), an English translation of the Bible in a very modern English language. It became the official Catholic Version of the Bible in the United States.
The NAB was created in response to the need of the church in America today. English-speaking Catholics used the Douay-Rheims translation of the Catholic Bible until the 1960s. In 1943, Pope Pius XII called for renewed study of the original scriptural texts to create newer and more accurate translations. A group of Catholic biblical scholars and linguists collaborated to produce the New American Bible.
Like the other translations of the Catholic Bible, the New American Bible has a total of 73 books, seven more than the Protestant version of the Bible.
The NAB includes the Old and the New Testament. The books of the Apocrypha are incorporated into the Old Testament of Catholic Bibles.
The Old Testament consists of 46 books (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Tobias, Judith, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Canticles, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Baruch, Ezeckiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi, 1 Machabees, 2 Machabees)
The New Testament consists of 27 books: (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, Jude and Revelation)

I always had a hard time understanding the old English from the KJV. This makes the bible much easier to understand. No thee's or thou's.

The NAB is very easy to read and understand. Each verse is numbered in each chapter and the reading flows easily throughout. The punctuation is very well done, making the sentences clear. I strongly recommend this version of the Bible.

Serious content error that needs correcting specially noticed on the gospel books. I did not go through the rest following this observation. The app looks good on the phone nice big font, easy sharing buttons. But the errors are there which makes it useless. Uninstalled the app.
