Network Speed

Many times when you search for an app they are not quite what you want but this is exactly what I was looking for to troubleshoot pesky data connections on the bus and so on. Its interface and usability are exactly what I had in mind when searching. Wonderfully simple!

The app is awesome... Have been using it since I purchased my first android phone... Unfortunately it is not working in my Xperia XA Ultra smartphone from the time I got OS upgraded to Android 7.0

app is great but there is a bug which pulls down notification panel during a call.. and open date and time setting which is quite irritating...

A very tiny app with a good network graph.. please expand the timescale to 30mins if it doesn't take much memory.. ten min graph will be a lot cooler.. please consider updating it...

The application is good for checking the bytes or kilobytes that's being used so far. It doesn't have any way of increasing internet speed but Ihave read that someone liked it for the download/upload part. I have tried to go to my search results on google but it was still too slow for my browser to complete the rest of the page to load up. It's still a good app to have but not for me. Sorry !

App is getting crashed in galasy s2 I9100. I am getting status message as 'android killed the service'. And moreover no update is available since long. Please fix it asap and change the interface little bit. Once all is done, I ll rate with 5 stars. Thanks -Mohit

Gets the job done and its easy to use. It would be nice if theres a history feature to list down the wifi ssid or network along with details (peak download or upload speed, speed history etc). The no permission is great and hope it stays that way.

I absolutely cannot function without this app! Got a rogue app running in the background? Pull down your noti' bar and see if there's network activity. I (personally) like to see how fast my network (VZW 3G) actually is.

I'm using this app long time already on all my Android devices. Better than any other apps I was trying. Surpriced that it's still free. Constantly turns back on, start at boot is off. Come on dev, network usage is built into android, give us a simple rate monitor that doesn't harass our phones. Would gladly pay $1 for that.

This app is great! However I only fire it up when I need to monitor my speed and I've noticed that it would often automatically launch when I have it turned off. I then have to manually exit and later it would launch again by itself. Gets annoying after a while. Loses 2 stars because of this bug.

Its the first app I install after flashing a new rom. Must have app for me.not so heavy on system, not big in size,solves the purpose. I mean just perfect app.anyway I won't mind if u add real time ping and solve the issues on ics.thanks for this app

Great app, works like its supposed to, lite and doesn't use alot of battery. One thing, it needs an option of resetting totals and reports. Incase you want to start over, otherwise would have given a 5 star

The only thing that I use about this app is download / upload speed meter in the drawer... and I really like it. It just works and is helpful for me. Features like graph are just a nice addition. I would like to see the mobile network type (3G / H / H+) in status bar, maybe as replacement for the up/down arrows which just duplicate what android already has build in.

It dies exactly what I need... But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make it a higher service priority. Android kills it all the time, or the speed/status bar icon just freeze... I'll kick it up to 5 stars when that's remedied, but until then... Only 2 stars.

This app is nearly perfect for what I was looking for. Thanks so much! One suggestion? Add some kind of "weighted average" smoothing function options to smoothed out the spikeyness of the chart....

the apps does monitors network speeds, I don't like the fact that there is an exit button and the app actually does not exit. And restarts without that I want it. Sometimes the app does start on boot, sometimes it does not. So that switch is useless. The only way to prevent the app from resurfacing is to kill it manually. On all my phones and tabs that works, but it should not be like that. Please fix these things to get 4 stars

And it has only things that I really want. Android force closes the app at times. Minor glitch. But that's okay. Keep developing (y)

Thank you for this neat little app. I would give it 5 stars if there was an always-visible floating bar view option. Right now, I have to pull up the notification bar each time I want to check the network speed. Hoping to see this feature in a future update.

This is an abandoned app and is no longer being updated. Unless your phone has a hardware menu button you're unable to access the settings menu.

App start at any time when I close it , it starts again automatically espcially when start using another app that use network connection ... . Better if speed appears beside battery in notification bar without having to roll it down

This app is what I've been looking for in ages! Everything is great, but could it hide it's icon on notification bar? It's getting annoying, even though it isn't that bad because the icon is smooth.

It seems that once in a while the program pops up in the notification area at random. You can tell it to exit but I am not sure what causes it to start. You can tell it to not start up automatically but that option doesn't seem to work consistently.

Looked good, but disappointed. Need an app to show a connection speed in status bar instead. High, low and average speed would be useful. Graph values too small to read.

My only complain is that after last update it starts by it self randomly without any reason. Even with unchecked start up with phone boot! This is very bothering and drains my battery. Samsung captivate.

Keeps booting up on startup even though I unchecked the setting! Please fix. Works great on my nexus 7 though

App is getting unstable, gets force stopped even in phone having 2 GB RAM, Was nice but may be updates not making it stable. Got killed by Android system without using any battery saver or Task kiler.

Its the best, lightweight, real time network speed moniter. but its to remove the black background from the icon in notification and make arrows bigger, so they will suitable with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

It still works when called up manually, but there are little bugs creeping up with newer versions of Android. Unfortunately, this seems to be the only app of its kind: extremely lightweight, visual graph of your network traffic. I just wish the developer would return or someone could make a similar app.

Does exactly what it says. Just improve the gui and time over which averaging is done and it will rock!!!

When you press Menu -> Exit on the graph screen, the application runs in the background and still collects the information about your network speed. When a certain time limit is reached, this app speeds up the CPU, making the phone slow and hot, and (speculating) sends your user statistics to its servers. I turned this application completely off through the "Running Applications" menu and my CPU slowed down. I will make this app rated 5 stars when this tracking issue is fixed.

Everything is quite nice but you can make it even better by removing data speed from notification bar and instead it should show the speed in just a simple bar.
