Codebook Password Manager

Used app since STRIP version on PalmPilot , I now have a Mac so sync to Dropbox allows for data on Phone & desktop. I recommend Codebook when asked about a password or secure info app

I am happy to rate and review Codebook. When I got my iPhone I spent a lot of time reviewing password managers and felt Codeboook was the best. Then I switched to Android and had to start again, even though there are some nice free apps, I still felt it was worth paying for STRIP. STRIP is an excellent password manager, get it! When I switched to Android on my Galaxy S3 I had an issue syncing Codebook to Dropbox. I sent an email to support and was surprised to receive a response within 30 minutes. Even though the problem was with Dropbox and Android, Codebook support stuck by me until we figured out the issue. Can't ask for better support.

Stil the best password manager -an can share passwords securely between all your devices. I've been using this and the IOS app since abandonning Palm OS devices and it's always been reliable with great technical support.

I have used password managers for years and was happy using Safewallet but it died when the company disappeared. So my requirements were import from Safewallet database (idiosyncratic), multi-platform, user-definable labels, free form input, cloud-based, seamless syncing. Most of the popular products are too rigid. Codebook ticks all the boxes. I run it on Windows, iPad, iPhone, Android. Fingerprint recognition is a real bonus on Android. It just works. Also, when there is a problem, the support is excellent, prompt and helpful. Strongly recommended.

Flexible sync options, highly responsive support, and Codebook (under its old name - STRIP) came out well in a independent technical review of password manager security.

Good stuff. It just works and that's what I want.

After a lengthy search for a secure password/data vault, Codebook seemed like the best app. Very happy! Does everything I was looking for. Had a question about syncing and emailed the developer- very quick response that answered my Q. Now I have all my critical data locked up tight. Works great with Google Drive as well. Worth the money to me.

Indispensable app. Easy to use and structure accounts info. The syn feature across desktop / phone is excellent.

Fantastic & Secure Information Storage that is transferable among your Android devices via an encrypted sync option. Who could ask for more! It is EXTREMELY USEFUL for vaulting usernames and passwords. In fact, Codebook will generate completly random passwords for you, if you wish. Check it out, back it up, and enjoy!

I used Strip for a couple of years on multiple devices and now codebook. Secure, easy to use and sync allows me to securely back up and transfer my data in a flash. The password generator is a great. For me, I'd like to be able to stop some of the special characters from bring used but that's personal. Currently I need to refresh the generator until the password meets company policy.

YOU DID IT, I CAN SEARCH WITHIN NOTES!!!!!! I downloaded 50, no exageration, 50 note apps, only 3 could search within notes and none had the level of security i needed. Even putting a capable note app in samsungs secure folder didnt work. THANK YOU!

I've been using Codebook/STRIP for over 5 years. iOS versions work fine, but not on Android. Launch/Crash cycles render it completely and utterly useless and am going for the refund option. Try harder guys.

Great app. Couldn't live without it.

I never quite managed to get Codebook working on my Samsung Galaxy Note 7, but Zetetic's customer service was great. Now on the Google Pixel everything is back to normal. Many thanks to Nick and his guys /girls for their help!

Had this since it was STRIP and I had an iPhone, over the past 3 or so years this apps has followed me across multiple handsets, from iOS to Android, and it has been bulletproof at every migration. Excellent app.

Can't even open the app, keep crashing **update 19 Nov 2016, the crash was fixed and the support team was amazing. Thank you Nick!

What I like about this app is that you have the ability to sync it with your PC (via WIFI); no cloud needed. Let's face it, who wants to trust their important passwords to some server somewhere. Personally, I'd rather keep everything under my control.

Going back to a more stable password manager. I cant afford to lose data or not be able to access data because of this service.

Sept 2016. I had an issue when I switched to a new android phone. they provided a recommendation quickly and then fixed the program. This is an awesome secure program. I have it in my iPad & iPod. I bought a nexus 5 phone & added this app. I was able to add all my data by an easy download. I've been using this program for many years & would pay easily twice as much for it. I'm still using this and still love it. I can't tell to hire much grief this has saved me.

Yeah, as promised 5 stars now that I can unlock using my fingerprint. Damn that makes it so much easier.

Please add support for fingerprint unlocking, like on the iPhone app. Updated: it does support finger print unlock so rating changed to five stars

Not able to synchronize with my drive account. (Account not linked).

Excellent customer support from the developers. I prefer to keep my data on a site of my choosing so this app is ideal.

Been using this for my secure data for years. I now have it on my tablet, smartphone, and PC. It's integral to my daily security coping strategy.

I've been using Codebook on the iPhone side of things for years, and swear by it. When I received my Android tablet, Codebook was the first thing I bought. Over all rating: 11/10

Really useful app.

Unusable at this point on my phone. I literally cannot run it. I even went so far as to uninstall and reinstall it. As soon as I synced it - crashes started again

Updated my android operating system and STRIP had changed its name and icon and colour scheme. This unknown to me "codebook" app was uninstalled as soon as I saw the unrecognised app. Taking with it all my passwords for everything, thanks for nothing, I want a refund.

I have Codebook installed on my Android phone, Windows desktop and laptop. I use Dropbox to sync between these 3 devices. Recently I had to do a factory restore on my Windows 10 and had problems reinstalling Codebook. I sent an email to Zetetic customer support and very quickly got clear instructions on how to correct the problem. The data I store in Codebook is critically important to me. Over many years I have stayed loyal to Strip/Codebook software because of the reliability of their dedicated customer service. They have never failed to get me out of trouble and I have never lost the ability to retrieve my stored data.

I have trusted releases of this password manager ever since I've owned a Palm Vx. Also available for the Windows desktop and iOS/OS X. A Linux desktop version is not available.

Great app and good developers that respond to queries. Two features I would like to see added: 1. Autosync, rather than having to remember to manually trigger the sync. 2. Fingerprint unlocking.

I have it on 3 devices. Super responsive support. Keeps me sane with too many usernames and passwords. Sooo handy! Grateful

Great support fast response. Have tried other apps but stayed with one.

This app is a great password keeper. Use it for all imac, pc, andriod and ipads. I use it for syncing on all my devices.
