Monotweety is an open-source Twitter client just for tweeting from device's notification area.
If you are using Android 7.0 or later, you can literally tweet from notification area. Other wise when you tap the notification, Editor dialog will be launched.
Also, with Monotweety you can chain tweets as a thread with one single tap(from editor dialog).

It would be better if the pop up from clicking the quick settings icon didn't show the two toggles for "keep dialog open" and "post as a thread." It just looks bad/tacky, IMO. Theming would also be nice.

I used to tweet via SMS very often because the messaging app was much faster to open than the Twitter app. However, SMS is unreliable for this purposes. Tweets would often be delayed or split into pieces depending on what's going on in the cellular network. Monotweety is a handy replacement for that. This app is almost as fast as tweeting via SMS but without the unreliability of SMS. Just tap on the notification, enter the tweet, and send. It's that quick!
