YachtChat is a fun and exciting way to connect with people around you. YachtChat uses geo-localization to find interesting people to talk to, also to find day-workers in your location or locations around the world. (port names are linked to the port names that are in the YachtNeeds application)
Talk to friends on vessels in the neighboring berth or port, find dayworkers with the orange box feature. If you are in a port or going to a port, you can now find active dayworkers: viewing their profile and skills has never been so easy!

How YachtChat works:
- YachtChat works by showing you interesting and skilled people in your location or a port that you may be heading to.
- Simply click on someone of interest and open their profile and chat directly.
- Looking for dayworkers for the Deck department, Interior or Engineering department? Simply use your location or a port you maybe heading to and look for other users photos that are surrounded with an orange box. This will mean this user is free for daywork.
- Dayworker looking for work? simply slide the “Looking for work” button in your settings and wait for people to connect with you.
- The dayworker orange box expires every 12 hours so you know that the dayworkers are up-to-date and ready to work.
- Organising an event in the local area or port and want to notify other people. Simply write a description on your profile and inform other users.
