VinylWall - Your Music Library

I understand it feeds from a library but it must be an old one. Doesn't even have records when they release let alone prior to like Discogs. I wish this was updated more and if it had a better catalog or fed from Discogs I'd pay good money for it. Sadly I must delete it.

I have a collection of vinyl that I wanted to catalog. Starting using this app last night and it worked like a charm until it didn't work at all. Please tell me they have a server issue and will be back up and running soon. I painstakingly went through the first 50 or so albums and now I can't access the site. "No connection" is what I keep getting when I try to open the app.

Just what I've been looking for.

I've been looking for an app like this. Nicely done but needs a few things like artist grouping and clicking profile does nothing but show users name.

This app is cool but not great. They really need to fix ideal things. When it does not find the album you should be able to edit the year or even when it comes up. Lot of errors on the years, needs option of stereo or mono. Needs track listing section. Lots of vinyls have different versions.

Simple, easy to update and use. Would like a forum to or to be able to view what other members own same album's as me to choose friends

I'd say this is exactly what I wanted to ensure I know what vinyl I already own and to browse my collection without going to the actual source. Things I'd like to see in updates: Pressing info, bigger pictures of albums, the ability to not have to search with "The" before a band's name, and most importantly, KEEPING IT SORTED ALPHABETICALLY. Why does it revert back to date added? All in all, great free app and huge potential.

Can't find numerous records I own. Also having to take my own pictures for the jacket cover display for the few LPs I can find. I'll keep looking.

My main issue is the search function is problematic; if I was to search "The Beatles" not only would it bring up the Beatles, but every group that has the title "The" in it. Another issue is that you cannot select images from your gallery for the album thumbnail, you have to take a picture of it lowering the quality of the collection. Maybe consider adding an organization function to the albums as well. Overall, the app is very useful and fairly well rounded.

Great App. 2 Suggestions though. 1: The default sort should be an option I can choose. Sort by when I added to the collection is not useful to me. Sort by Artist should be the default. Having to change the sort every time is a hassle. 2: The ability to select an Item in my Wish List and "move" it to my Collection would also be a useful time-saver. Thanks!

This is the best audio collection app ive seen online and for free! Is it possible to have a rotating option? So could view landscape?

Nice app. Please add the ability to edit album info (date, artist, title, tracklisting, etc) and improve search function and it will be 5 stars.

Just needs one more thing though, for me at least. The ability to upload a cover art from my phone gallery and/or a way to pick up artwork online. Then i can definitely rate this the five stars it deserves :D

Absolutely brilliant love it! I very rarely go out of my way to reveiw an app and most of the time it's because it's bad. I'm 14 and have started collecting records about a year ago and have become a what I would say as a horder with about 400 records and have struggled in finding ways to manage them as I'm no longer listening to records a brought a while ago. This really fills my breif and love the badges especially as I have most of them such as pink floyd abbey road etc. Did have some ideas will email!

Its a decent app but a few upgrades would make it way better. Changing record collection entry's like artist and record name. Uploading photos and a better search function. Are the developers planning on a new release anytime soon?

I would give this app four or five stars if it didn't have some near fatal flaws. The built in camera is crap. Allow us to add photos taken with better camera apps. Secondly the record store search is crap if you buy albums at shows. If I bought an album at a venue or a museum I should be able to add that as well. And can't you pull album art from CDDB? Album art for vinyl is identical to the CD art almost every time.

It would be helpful if you allowed for editing of the Titles. I went to add the flip side of some 45s and found I wasn't able to edit that part. Another great tihng would be to add a field for the flip side

Would be cool if you could upload photos of the album cover and not only take pics

Real good way to catalog your collection!

I understand you prob want to stay distinct from discogs, and their app is not so good. Maybe being able to integrate your discogs collection with mvw would help ppl move to this app instead? Also, a barcode scanner should be at the top of your soon-to-add features. When adding a release to collection from search: it offers formats that don't exist for the release, maybe base the format selection on what the previous collector added, then give the option to add another. Barcode scanner would solve this.

I was trying to enter my collection and it would be nice to enter in multiple albums by an artist simultaneously. Also, I'd like to be able to edit the name of the artist. For example, I have a number of Tom Petty albums. When my albums are sorted by artist, they're filed under a few different artist names, like Tom Petty And the Heartbreakers, Petty, Tom and the Heartbreakers, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, and a few other variations. Kind of defeats the purpose of trying to organize my collection, you know?

I tried to upload my collection but found hardly any matches. Database and method of searching for records needs expanding. Nice looking UI though. Will keep and eye on this app.

I have a small collection already and just started collecting again. This will hopefully help me track what I have so I don't buy more duplicates. I would like to see a default in settings for format though. I also wish you could swipe left to right through your collection with all the information shown. Should also remember Sort Order on App close.

First off, love the BoC in your picture! I own the same LP. but yeah, as the title said, I think this could use a vinyl wishlist, to remember what we're looking for and allow friends to see it. Other than that, great app! [Edit] wishlist added, what a great developer! Awesome app, 5 stars

I enjoy the app well enough, but there have been zero updates for nearly seven months. Please address some of the suggestions people have brought up. Offline support will make or break this app for me to be honest. Without using a phone or without a WiFi signal, this app is useless, which is sad because I like it.

Tryed to add to my collection and the it didn't find any thing that I looked for or any thing at all

I'm using for vinyl. I really like having the album images to sort through. It did not find 2/6 album covers i tested. Another app that I think uses a different search mechanism did find. Would like to be able to search an artist and add multiple albums rather than searching each. Also would like to be able to make my own personal ratings and sort by that. Thx!

I'd say the only essentially features missing are the ability to back up your collection. And it would be awesome if there was a "random" that randomly picked a record from your selection for the times I'm not sure what to to spin. Not essential features that would be cool: ability to put price in for each record and track the cost of the collection.

A pretty good app so far... It would be nice to be able to move items from the Wishlist to the Collection once I have purchased them. Also I agree that importing and exporting data would be a nice touch!

Please add the ability to export your library. I hate the notion of losing all of my data entry. Other than that I love it. Simple and quick to enter titles.

Like the app, but it could use additional features. PLEASE add offline support. When adding/editing, a year field would be nice. Keep up the great work!

Nice app, very user friendly, but could use a few additions: ability to enter year when adding entry, 'NM' rating, barcode scanner, and hopefully integration with Discogs in the future! Still, easy & addictive to use, and unlocking badges/achievements is fun.
