Reset Unread Sms

Did exactly what it promised. Brilliant app. My OCD thanks you for removing that annoying red notification counter above my SMS icon. I have donated $2 to show my appreciation, Thank you! Please DO NOT change this app.... It works so nothing to fix.

Worked perfectly on my Lenovo K5 Plus (Lollipop). Removed the annoying unread SMS in a jiffy. Had deleted an SMS just when it was in the process of being received after that the unread SMS annoying unread SMS got stuck. Thanks.

Was traveling and could not open new texts. When I got home, all the unread texts popped up in the wrong dates so I could not find them to remove the text notification on the app icon. This helped me find those texts so I could open them and get rid of the unread number. Thanks!

As previous reviews this app does exactly as it says. After months of trying everything to remove the annoying false messages this app cleared them in a matter of minutes! Fully recommend!

Works perfectly... The unseen message which is not visible in the default messaging app shows up instantly! The message can be marked as read to remove the annoying notification

Brilliant, had 4 unread messages, showing on my Pebble watch, quick run with this an found messages to delete, asks for donation to see full message but gives date & first word or two. So impressed donated, can now see whole message which is supposed to be unread. Very useful if you have this problem.

I have a ZTE boost max. It says I have 8 new messages, but I don't. I read everything, deleted everything and it still says 8. I've tried this app over 5 times. Didn't work for me. Guess I'll have to call customer support...????

Worked on Droid Moto Z Play. Resets back to messenger with no further actions required except tapping OK twice. Easy $$$. No idea why the message indicator would not reset on its own. This app solves the problem.

This app got rid of my problem in 2 seconds flat. I'm so grateful to not have a notification anymore. Free to use all they ask for is a donation which is optional.

Messenger reported an unread text in error. I installed this app and let it do it's thing and the issue was fixed in a minute.

My phone kept saying I had a message in my inbox but I didn't and this Worked perfectly!!!! Just download it and when it asks to become your default txt app say yes. It will reset your messages and then ask you to revert back to your original message app and viola! Done.

I am very happy I did not have to pay for the app. Did not fix the problem it was instituted for. DISSAPOINTED!

Fantastic. Tried everything to get rid of unread text message number on messaging app but nothing worked. Used "Okay Google" to find offending message which did not show up in my messages but still couldn't get rid of it. Five seconds with this app and it was gone. Well worth the voluntary donation I gave after using it.

This app used to work really, really well. Recently, when I want to clear something, I open it, set it as the default. And it just spins for a long time, not actually clearing anything. Then I have to uninstall it and jump through hoops to get my messages to work again at all.

Woah! I have an Amazon Fire Phone, and not many people have this phone so it is hard for me to find out how to fix and do things on it. I have had a problem where I have 2 messages in my app when I don't... I checked everything but still nothing went away. That's when I started looking up articles and found one on how to do this on an Android phone. Yes, I have an Android phone but sometimes these things don't work for my phone. Hopeless, I installed this app and BOOM!!! my message app was cleared. I really recommend this app ????????

Worked perfectly on droid Maxx. App first asked to become default SMS. Reported no unread messages. As recommended, chose to try anyway. Spinning circle for 1 min. Then app very politely offered to restore default messaging app. Problem solved. Tomorrow morning's coffee is on me!

Nexus 6P / Nova Prime launcher / Tesla Unread Count This worked exactly as advertised. It asked to become my default SMS app, "Processed" for about a minute, and then asked to change default back to Messenger. Couldn't have been easier.

Wow. This worked so simple and easy. Been having this annoying 1 unread message showing on my lock screen for over 6 months. I couldn't locate any unread message and it was really annoying. This app just solved the problem in less than 5 seconds. Great app

I just couldn't clear the message counter, but this app did it for me. It did say there were no unread messages, but I still used it. It took two attempts, then the icon was clear. Thanks for a great app.

Supposedly had 11 unread SMS according to Chomp SMS, but none visible in the inbox. Ran this app and it's sorted.

Finally something that worked! Received two MMS error messages that didn't show up in my message inbox. But the message icon showed two unread messages. Tried updates, clearing data, downloading other sms clients, rebooting phone, nothing worked. Until Reset Unread SMS fixed it in two seconds! :-)

I had 1 conversation stuck with 74 unread messages on all my synced devices. I tried clearing cashe, clearing data, uninstalling and reinstalling...everything. Used this app, and it cleared them out. FYI: the more messages you have, the longer it takes the app to work. I thought it was stuck at one point. I home button'ed and let it run in the background. A few minutes later, I went back in the app and it was done.

With new Android update, Google messenger was showing 3 unread messages that I could not track down! This solved problem immediately. Four stars because the app said "processing" even after problem fixed- but figured that out pretty quick.

One unread stuck. Initial attempt using this app showed no unread. Used option to check anyway. App appears to be working, but no result. Just see spinning circle. Will change review if I can get help/solve.

Have had an annoying 1 unread message for months that is not visible anywhere, just the number 1 on the icon. Tried many things to get rid of it, the final straw was when this fault transferred to a new phone. This app got rid of it a couple of minutes. I didn't find it the easiest app to use hence only 4 stars, however functionally it deserves 5.

This app got the job done but only after many attempts. Once I tried to make the unread message read, it just kept processing and would freeze. After half a day of trying and restarting my phone over and over, it finally worked.

Just does the job in a minute! Great app! Edit1: Different handset, same problem - immediate result! Excellent!

Nexus 5X (Marshmallow) with Hangouts - this finds the unread SMS but hangs on "processing". Have to force stop, manually set Hangouts back to default SMS app and then the only way to get rid of unread SMS is to delete it.
