User guide:

To access your secrets on your PC, give Chris Wood's PCSecrets a try. You'll need the following:

- PCSecrets running on the PC. Get it from source forge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/pcsecrets/files/?source=navbar

- PCSSync, a companion android app that keeps your secrets on the phone in sync with the PC. Get it directly from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ceperman.sync

Chris and I worked closely together to make sync as easy and secure as possible. Let us know what you think on the discussion forum: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/secrets-for-android

PCSecrets is also a good way to transfer secrets to a new phone. First make sure to keep your existing phone in sync with your PC. When you get a new phone, install Secrets for Android and PCSSync, and sync. You're done!

Been using this on all android devices for years. Great basic functionality for managing large volume of passwords. Dependable and safe-- never lost my content in device transitions.

Had this app over 5 years on two HTC's and now on Galaxy S6. Always transfers over no problems, I like it's simplicity and that it's not constantly updating which would worry me. Excellent app!

Awesome application. Google was stupid to abandon it like they did to Skymap

2015 Update: Still using this great app on my 5th Android phone. This is still very useful and a trusted tool. Love this app! 2012 review: I've been using Secrets for two years and it works fine. It is quick to load and has only been updated a couple of times. (Can't stand it when apps frequently get updated.) Wish list? It would be nice of I could integrate this with Lastpass or have a PC desktop version that could sync with my Android.

Switched to new phone. When I enter password into app on new phone, it says the password is incorrect. The password is correct as it still works on my old phone. No reply when i asked for help. Now what?? Update: Matter resolved. Works as before.

I used this app all the time and liked it very much til I had to do a hard restart and i even did a full backup before and now all of my passwords are gone. Don't plan on taking this so to another device. I use a droid maxx.

This app was the best app I ever had to store personal data from passwords to bank account information on my android phone, but now I have the iPhone 6S and the app is not available for iPhones! I had over 50 entries in the app and I would love to download it for my new phone. Will this app ever be available to download for iPhones?

Great app! I wish there was web access to this as well so I wouldn't need to always use my phone but this is very useful and FREE! Update: So I've recently discovered PC Secrets (details in the app description), which can be installed on my PC where I can view & edit passwords and sync everything between my phone, tablet, and PC. That solves pretty much all of my needs. It would still be nice to be able to log into my google account and access everything somewhere, but I'll take what I can get.

The best app for keeping any secrets, this is one for ever and I am using more then 5years its good. Thanks for developer. Also past two years no further development and could you make further more good.

I have a lazy memory, so this tool is fantastic. However, i do not trust the cloud with my passwords, encrypted or not. This app now, in recent versions, nags about wanting to upload a backup online. I'd rather just my usual manual local backup. Stop nagging me! And why the contacts permissions?

I have been using this app since I first got Android

This app started failing to open for me about 2 weeks ago. Have used for at least 2 years w/no prob. Will not accept my password anymore Great 5 stars until then.

Keeps passwords. Wish it saved to cloud.

Changed cell phones and I can't get my passwords on the new device. Hell, the app won't even let me log in. Says I am using the wrong password, yet it works on my original phone just fine.

With so many passwords these days, it's great to have a secure place to write them down such that I always have them with me. The app is simple but effective, doing exactly what I want and nothing more. There's no online sync so I don't have to worry about the security of some other server. Automatic backup and restore to a new phone worked perfectly for me, though just-in-case I had saved the secrets to an (encrypted) external file due to problems reported with earlier versions.

I have used this app for four years and thought it was great, however having recently installed hancome office I find that this can open and display my secrets file without the need for a password. Not that secure

Stripped down, clean interface and does exactly what it needs to do.

I hope its not copying any of my personal stuff in any developers servers

Q70%
by Q####:

After backing up my password and trying to restore to my new phone, it will not import. I get a message "Uh Oh. Unable to restore from secrets.csv". This is the most generic message possible and could not find support anywhere. Moving to a new app.

I've used this app for years and never had a problem when switching phones. Recently I upgraded and when I tried to restore a backup file it wouldn't work. Now all of my important passwords are lost! Time to find a new app, or find a more reliable method.

Would get 5 stars if it provided Cloud or Drive backup.

...finally, a password manager that's simple & easy to use.

I used to think this was a great app until it lost all my records. The first time, I thought that I just used the wrong password. But this time I know it's the same because it works on my old phone.

U70%

Love the backup ability

Q70%
by Q####:

My passwords are in limbo. Support non-responsive. Exported to sd card from droid, S3 saying they can't be found. And no, I won't back up via the internet, it's the reason I use a self contained app.

Q70%
by Q####:

I've been using this app for a few years now.... It's a great app

I70%
by I####:

It would better if I could tap it & all the information came up with out being able to edit it, instead of tapping it & the password pops up alone.
