Regarding the "Licensing" message received upon launch:
There has been much question (and accusation) as to what you are seeing when you launch the application initially. The opening screen displays a message stating that your license will expire in one day.
Please allow us to explain.
The license check is an adjustment to the way that Google handles purchases on the market. The way google does it, is that it requires the application to check to validate the purchase every day. We set it up so that it wont do it every day - it does it once per year after the initial 24 hour period. This allows for use of the application when there might not be service available to you.
Upon initial launch, however, you will be provided with a 1 day license. This protects us with regards to the refund policy that Google has in place. If you keep your order beyond the initial day, your licence will be renewed automatically, free of charge, once every year.
If you go into the options section of AndCAD, you will see the area regarding licensing. From there, you can restart the one year period anytime that you wish to.
Hopefully this clears up the concerns and questions regarding licensing.
Update-II: + ☆☆ (was 1) for showing up. +☆ for action. This otherwise 5 star App needs basic Cad functions to be extended & further developed, but is otherwise absolutely robust and elegantly implemented. Being one of the more expensive Apps in the store, you couldn't have set up a higher expectation of things to come, [and a more cynical rip off of paying customers], I bought App 5 years ago, languished most of this time. AndCad is good enough to overtake the growing pack of vector editors if development takes off again.
Had a lot of fun with this app and it's helped me do several things through out the time I've had it since it first came out
This is a very useful drafting app for Android once you get the hang of it.
I have mixed feelings about this app. I love it, but it was comparatively expensive a few years ago and is absolutely abandoned.

No support at all. No more updates. Contact form on website is broken. Program itself doesn't feel finished.
Showed promise but is now abandon ware.
Very useable software!
I have been able to flesh out ideas for at home. I am disappointed that it is not a stand alone app, it will not work with out a internet access. For $35 I would like to have known it would not work at work, for that reason alone it is a 2 star other wise it is a solid 4 maybe 5
I use it pretty often and love it. Works very well for what I use it for. Look forward to its continual improvement.
Amazing program, I have done multiple designs already and have built them. I would really like to see boolean operations included with future updates.
Easy to use and functional for simple CAD drawings. I would like to see some improvements in output without the need to use third party software. Eg Print to PDF, Autocad style layouts with default text fields ( Copyright notice, Client, Site, Version, Notes), Email drawing etc Then I would give it 5 stars
Dxf export is sending blank pages.... Hope its just a temp glitch...Other than that this app is exactly what the DR ordered
Program wont open without validating the license. This makes the program completely worthless in the field where there's no signal or wifi. If you need to use this professionally you'll be disappointed. There's also no support for modifying the thickness of lines, which is pretty crummy.
This has helped me get two jobs already. Can't tell you how good it is when combined with the screen on my streak, love it = ]
Hoping for Divide, Please! I love this app!
Works flawlessly on Nook Color. Great to have this ability on the go. I look forward to more CAD capability & touch integration, e.g., pinch to zoom.
Great Start! Looking forward to future improvements. Used Autocad in my Architectural practice for many years & AndCad works very well on my G Tablet.
Congratulations to every one involved in the recent update. I think this improvement is a big magic out of a small package.
AndCad is a great program. Very useful for those who are always on the go. I am currently using it to rough out models for a video game. 5 Stars! G2
Great CAD app. Easy to get used to with basic knowledge of cad. The refined snap feature helps with precision. Updates improve it a lot. Try demo - g2
Great program.Doesn't seem to flip horizontal on droid 2 screen strangely. Cus use a use a revamp with inputting dimensions to estblish lenths etc.
Very useful with my galaxy tab and waiting for future updates.
Great program! Very similar to AutoCAD. Can't wait for the dimensioning update. Android ~Cathy
Promising... DWG format reading would be nice. ( Autocad 2000 at least ) . Toolbox too small to read over 40 ;-)
Great app, needs to have offset, and it does not show blocks that was in drawing when u import to andcad.
But devs gave up on it
IT TAKES YOUR MONEY, you can not get intouch with anyone, Google Platystore or developer.. no one responds, web site contact error 404 .. STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP
Software not supported. Lack of block support or group selection force you to place your things in a well thought-over place, as later on it is virtually impossible to move complex things at once. Other things are also missing like trim, but to a certain level that can be mimicked. A bit expensive for a 80% ready app, somehow disappointed. Full of bugs, will never use again
Can't group objects. Hasn't been improved (as far as I can see) in a year. No development occurring, and it's certainly not complete.
Great, great app. I love it. There's just one problem. AndCad appears to not save state when minimized. I've lost hours worth of work (and doodling) because I didn't save manually before doing other things on my tablet. Sure, I should have saved, but it's 2012. Apps should either save state automatically when cleared out of memory, or implement some sort of auo-save option. I have emailed the developer, and will change my review to five star when this problem is addressed. Other than that, this app is great.
Why would you do his to an app on a mobile device? The reason I bought this was to work up sketches in remote locations. Ridiculous.
This otherwise 5 star App needed basic Cad functions to be extended & further developed, but was otherwise absolutely robust and elegantly implemented. Being one of the most expensive Apps in the store, you couldn't have set up a higher expectation of things to come, and a more cynical rip off of paying customers. Heard of "Simplector" (SimpleVector)? It's an SVG (vector) editor. Though not quite a Cad tool, it is robust, has surprisingly good performance, *and* is being actively developed, and well supported. It is already quite capable, and has huge potential.
This is a great app. It definitely needs work and I feel that all the users are owed this as it is a costly app. The basics of it are great and work fine however there are a few little things that need a lot of work. When I export a .dxf it scales it to 16x original. NO GOOD. there has never been an update since I have owned it. NO GOOD. No trim tool. NO GOOD. No fillet or chamfer. NO GOOD. With a *little* bit of extra time put into this app it would be fantastic. I would even be happy to spend a little extra on a patch for bug fixes and a few more tools. I have tried others on the market and this is by far the best. VERY GOOD. If there was an update to fix faults and add tools, this will definitely get upgraded to a 5 star rating.(it is almost there now.)
Because I have found nothing better, I am quite pleased with this app. But using it costs a lot of unnecessary swapping time between instructions! The next suggestions will improve this a lot! ---Zooming and panning possibility in every drawing situation by using two fingers (you don `t do that in any other activity) spreading and closing for the zoom and moving the two fingers synchronously for panning. ---selecting groups with a rectangle. ---a third row of empty menu`s. You can drag and drop any instruction from the instructionbar into this bar for quick access. ---during drawing the possibility to change from landscape to portrait by just turning the pad (for better overview in different type of construction layouts in a drawing) ---undo should work only on the drawing activities (not all the zoom and other things) These modifications will give the user lots and lots more time-efficiency. Hoping that there is a reasonable update-interval, I give for now 4 stars.
It is the only app I know that (once purchased) appears to have issues always varifying with google. The app developer have NOT resolved the ongoing issues with licence varification. I paid a lot for the full licence and it is now a useless app that cannot be opened. It will just continue to display a box informing the user that it needs to verify with google.......which it can't. DO NOT PURCHASE THE APP
I have had this app for a while and overall I like it but when I upgraded to jellybean I now cannot activate the product on my tab rendering it useless.
I'm an CAD operator, and this app is my go-to app for 2D drafting... its best feature is that the design space is unlimited... unlike many other apps in this category.
Been using a long time now. Needs a 3D optional update. I would pay for that

With hundreds of designs, AndCAD is my preferred CAD application for 2D design what-if development. Tablet input is simple and accurate with the snap options, and it gives freedom from desktop/laptop work without the overhead and performance reductions of other Apps. Various design options can be copied to new layers with different colors, and then updated to compare design ideas. A few command improvements; such as, select all in view/layer and snap intersections would be great.
