About Andie Graph

Get a TI-82, TI-83, TI-83+, TI-85, AND TI-86 emulator for your phone!

Andie Graph is an Android port of the AlmostTI emulator by Marat Fayzullin - http://fms.komkon.org/

*** ROM not included. Why? http://dgmltn.com/roms ***

The TI-8X series of calculators work great as standalone calculators, showing 8 lines of history, using standard mathematical notation. Each model was designed with more specific purposes in mind:

The TI-82 is designed for algebra and trigonometry. Graph and compare functions, perform variable substitution, and solve single variable equations.

The TI-83 is designed for statistics and trigonometry. Graph and compare functions, and perform data plotting and analysis.

The TI-85 is great for engineering and computer science. Graph and compare functions, perform bit manipulation and convert between numeric bases.

The TI-86 is great for engineering and calculus. Graph and compare functions, perform bit manipulation and convert between numeric bases. Solve differential equations, plot vector fields.

All models allow you to write programs in TI-BASIC and perform basic scientific calculator operations.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why the developer decided to have the app automatically search for ROMs instead of just letting you choose the ROM. As such, I can't get this to recognize my ROMs. I have tried multiple calculator ROMs, placed them in different locations, renamed them, etc., but nothing works.

I had this on my DroidX to start, have it on my NoteII, and will have it on my note (5?) I was skeptical at first. I founthe rom image online,& unzippe&savd it as ti83.rom to the sd card.easier to setup/use than emulator on a computer.

My TI-86 from college had some failing lines on the display, then I lost it. I don't use my engineering degree often at my engineering job, but when I do, the old TI is useful. Now I always have it with me. Note: I read a review about problems if you didn't have a ROM file ready on first boot. So, before I even opened it, I emailed myself a file and put it in a folder called "Roms" in my phone's internal storage. When I opened the program, it went right to the TI-86.

The app is perfect. I work in a lab and this app allows me to crunch numbers on the spot easily. The only issue I have is I cannot access the setting menu on my phone (LG G4). Other than that the app is amazing! Thank you so much for this wonderful app!

Any way I can add MY dope wars program to my phone and play it with this emulator?

This is a very convenient app because you don't always have a calculator on you but you always have you're phone. The only bad thing about it and the reason it gets 4 stars is the battery usage. This thing suck battery like crazy. One say I used it for about an hour and battery stats said it used 22% of my battery. Overall great app though

I have used a TI-83 for years. Love using this app, the TI 83 is a giant brick, now i take my rom anywhere i want. Thanks for making this great app, no ads and a calculator i am familiar with.

Find a Rom somewhere online and your golden....I own 2 broken ti8x's and boy it sure is nice to have this replace them

The app would glitch and exit out, but I just deleted it and reinstalled and now the graphing calculator works flawlessly. I'm not sure if it'll glitch again or not, it worked at first the first time with the same rom, then crashed. Either way this app is awesome

All you bunch of fools, such as the one that accuse developers of paying people to comments, is an idiot who blame others for his own idiocity... This app needs ".rom" files, that you can easily find just by google "ti calculator rom". I despise ungrateful people like all of you.

R70%
by R####:

What would be nice is to mention in app description that it needs .rom files. At first I downloaded and unzipped the files on the linked site, but since they were another type such as .82p, the application would not recognize then. If you don't know that (and you don't pay attention in detail to the small text line indicating it's searching for such files), the 1st contact can be frustrating...

No problems after getting the rom in. Thank you TI for allowing this app to stick around even if the conditions are annoying. Own two Ti-83s but tired of feeding them batteries. Not having any issues with the '2nd' 'Quit' lockup another reported so all good here.

R70%
by R####:

I struggled a great deal at first, but everything worked great once I found some rom images to download. Exactly like the real thing, brings back memories! Lol!

R70%

I am only giving it 1 star because for some reason my phone will not open the ROM zip file on 2shared or on the emulator site this app suggests. What am I doing wrong?

S70%
by S####:

Frequently the app stops working. Fix is to delete the file that acts as the storage for the ROM. But this results in losing any Basic programs I wrote.

I'm so happy to be able to use again the fantastic and so useful "solver" function from my old TI-85 ! Use it everyday in my business to get to calculate margins, retail prices, target costs...

R70%

It used to be able to find the ROMs, but somehow it can't find them anymore. Too bad, I really loved this app.

V70%

Works pretty good. Forgot my TI-84 at home, and this saved me during finals. Kind of troublesome to find the ROM image.

[If an emulated calculator freezes, then you may need to delete the RAM file!] An individual calculator can freeze, and so the emulator needs a reset button. I found the only way to reset a frozen emulated calculator (e.g. TI-85 with ROM 10.0 especially) was to locate the RAM file on sdram (e.g. TI-85.RAM, which AndieGraph creates into the same folder as the ROM file), and delete it. Also, the whole "Searching for ROM" mechanism is extraordinarily inefficient and slow, and burns off a lot of CPU cycles. A mechanism to simply manually select the location of the ROM file would be much better. Otherwise, great job!, this is a fantastic app. Keep up the great work. To those who complain about the ROMs not being included -- it's a legal/copyright issue, and it is not the author's fault! NOTE that this app will not (and cannot) support the Motorola 68000-based calculators (e.g., TI-89 Titanium, TI-92, Voyage 200, Ti-89) because they use a different CPU architecture. This app emulates Zilog Z80 calculators only (e.g., TI-82 to TI-86). For TI-89&Titanium emulation, try another app (e.g., Graph89) 5-Stars!

While I miss the tactile nature of my old TI-85, this is still really fun and I'm shocked at how much of the programming language I remember (haven't touched it in 15+ years). Detected my 85 rom immediately with no fuss, and it appears switching between them is a piece of cake, too. The problem is that it likes to randomly corrupt the ram file it uses to store the state of the calculator, which results in a non-responsive UI/calculator. The fix this, you have to delete the .RAM file associated with your firmware (this is from the dev's website FAQ), which then effectively erases the memory. I've lost a lot of programs/time due to this =/

I love that it's free other than needing a ROM. My old TI-83+ served me well for more than five years of heavy use in various classes in high school and college and turned out to even be useful for unexpected classes. While I no longer need its more advanced functions, I've found that it still has one of the nicest interfaces for actual math (for instance, the way it shows the equation as you entered it, the advanced settings like significant digits, and etc.) With this, I not only have my favorite calculator back, but I have it in a more compact and portable form on my smartphone and tablet. I'll admit though, I do kind of wish we could customize the look and feel a little more. I wish I could make the skin itself darker, but more importantly the screen is a bright white background. I threw away my calculator after getting the ROM a few years ago but I seem to recall it had an amber background (and I think a dark blue foreground?) Honestly rather than perfect emulation of looks I wish we could customize the colors a little bit. I'd really rather an inverted display at least, but full customization would really be nice. I'm just nitpicking though and it's a wonderful app!

Still have the TI85 I got in high school in '92, but it has a dead horizontal line of pixels. This is much handier since I always carry my phone and/or tablet. Works flawlessly on my HTC Incredible. On my Asus TF700T Infinity it hangs (frozen with non-blinking cursor) about 30% of the time when I open it. Tried reinstalling and it didnt help. Sometimes have to force close and reopen several times before it works. Hopefully dev has an idea for a fix. Love it nonetheless

You just made my day! This is the best, I have several programs that I developed for the TI 83 and the TI 84 to aid in the layout of sheet metal parts. I was looking for a programmable calculator for android, but none really fit the bill. Luckily, I backed up my ROM years ago and it works like a charm. I don't know where my cable is anymore. My programs prompt for the variables and auto magically spit out the data needed to layout cones and such. The best app ever!

Add a manual search for Rom. The auto search couldn't find any of my roms. It did however think that a map file (282.tile) was a Rom for a ti82.

It is way better than using an emulator on the computer using keyboard and mouse, and i dont need to pay $100 + for the real thing. Helps to check answers quickly when im doing my Advanced Functions homework.

Would not find the ROM when on the sd card of my S5. Tried several times. Finally copied file to root directory of the phone and it now works flawlessly...using the file on the sd card. Yup, in settings it shows the ROM on both the sd card and the phone and the sd card ROM is selected. Besides the wonkiness of the ROM it's really nice having a TI-86 on my phone and I suggest going into settings of the app and getting rid of the black border. A bit easier to use if you've got sausage fingers like me. Another fyi, a used TI-86 costs under $50 now. Just bought one tonight and there's lots of them there for that price.

Andie Graph perfectly emulates several TI graphing calculators. The keys are perfectly sized, and the interface accurately reflects the actual calculators. Developer shows a lot of hard with with this app! It clearly states in the app description that you must obtain your own ROMs.

I do however like how the emulator has no borders. (Wabbit emu has an ugly grey border.)

It's one of the fastest graphing calculators except for the fact that lines don't show up for me on the plotting. It gives the right answer, I just can't see what in doing at all

Great functions, but the banner that says that Rom not detected on SD card doesn't go away. I don't have an SD card on my device (HTC DNA).

My Nexus 7 has made my life a lot easier with online textbooks and storage. I wish I've had this app earlier so I wouldn't of have to put up with my Algebra 2 teacher :(. I love emulators and this app is just the best. Best $0 I have spent in my whole life :D!

I use it all the time at work, everyone is impressed and wants to know how to get it on their phones! Prove your elementary school math teacher wrong - always have a full blown calculator in your pocket!

X70%

First you have to find the TI rom you're looking for. Not a huge deal. You have to place the file on the root of any of your SD cards (internal or external). Then you go into settings and select your rom. The only problem is that the "cannot find rom" message that covers half the screen doesn't go away. Even after you're booted into and using the calculator.

X70%

I am only giving it 1 star because for some reason my phone will not open the ROM zip file on 2shared or on the emulator site this app suggests. What am I doing wrong?

Don't press 2nd > Mem. You may regret it. Found another app that supports TI-89 Titanium ROM.
