Pixel Art editor

This tool is perfect for GFX Artists such as myself. In the beginning I had to figure everything out for myself, and at some point I became good at it. I have been creating many projects with this for online games and the best thing about it is that it works fine. The app has its flaws and lack of new useful content but overall it does what it's supposed to do.

The save feature do3snt actually save it to your gallery, it just makes a file that you have to search for when you want to continue. Also the zooming in and out sensitivity is really high and hard to use

Its perfect. And not only that, but now I can customize minecraft texturepacks on my phone. Yes, thank you. Edit: Could you also add sizes? Like change from single pixel to like 64 pixel? Minecraft texturepacks are a pain sometimes :P

This was just what I was looking for. However, there are features I would love. In order from what I want most to least: custom palletes, select copy-paste and scale (scale, please!), and possibly animation, but not a big deal. But I love this app anyway!

I love this app. I use it to create sprites for a D&D game that my friends and I are doin, but the only issue is that I'm havin issues with the cloning tool. I also wish that there were a copy/paste feature, for if I ever need to paste something in. Other than that, I absolutely love it.

Functions perfectly when I need to edit a picture right down to the pixels. However, I don't like the controls, although it's fine in general. Could do with more features but this is a great editor for now.

After about a minute or less of using the app it crashes on me. I have to edit a bit ams then save quickly, it's very annoying. Hope u fix this and I hear back from u ;)

You can't save the pictures to your phone they save to the app yes, but I had to install a file manager to actually find and save the pictures to my phone! 5 star rating if you can fix that problem!

I'd love a better view implementation: like, in Photoshop you can hold space & drag the workplace around. Color picker replaces a custom palette, tbh. But it should also have Select & Move.

Though i found the app generally intuitive, it wouldn't save my work. Its a shame, because i would keep using the app had it not scrapped what work i would do on the bus ride to class.

Every minute or so the app crashes. Please fix then I'll give 5 stars.

This app is one of the best drawing apps that I have downloaded! This in the best! Only problem is that the icons need to be just a little bit bigger and it needs to fix the zoom. Please update that. Other than that it is VERY well made!

It would be nice if there were some instructions. I am very confused and have no idea what any of thingies do.

I was looking for an art program that has a paint bucket that worked efficiently. Here, I can paint an entire section transparent, so that's a plus. However, you should make zooming in and out a bit easier, maybe via pinching with two fingers to zoom in/out instead of toggling constantly. That can be an option if anything. Otherwise, great app!

I fail to find the point of pixel compy and past but you should add the ability to select a amount of pixels and copy and paste them somewhere else. If you do that I will improve my rating.

I've been looking for an app that has similar characteristics of MSPaint, and this one comes close. The only drawback with this is it is extremely difficult to impossible to read the grid plot location. I also wish it would open on a full sheet of 8.5" x 11" platform. I highly enjoy the color bar selection except when changing from a deep dark red to white, you have to scroll all the way down to get it then you have to scroll all the way up to get back to the deep dark red you initially started with.

How does the zoom work anyway? It's very frustrating...

I can't figure out the controls on this app! All the similar apps I have tried have been easy to learn. This app needs to have a tutorial or some simpler controls.

You can't save the file and when you take it out the semi transparent cry doesn't work. Please fix

The proccess of actually saving pictures or opening them on the app is difficult and time consuming. But best pixel art app in my opinion

Lackness of color and leave a trail of white line between each box, we should have a option for that kind of problem

While the version management is perfect, the internal file management is awful. Also, the latest update changed the display so then when extremely zoomed in, all the pixels are distorted.

I'm usually using it when i bored, and sometimes i accidently tap the undo button twice and i couldn't getting back my undo-ed drawing, can you add redo button?

Really, really frustrating, how it has no select and move lasso feature. The gui is a confusion of sub menus, drop downs for advanced functions should come from certain tools. It's hard to find what you are looking for, and there is it really any difference from pencil or brush either. With pixel painting, you could just get rid of the pencil tool, since it serves no purpose, other than random dotted painting. Mirror function missing, flip image, resize tools, so much potential, but so very basic right now. All these extra tools are not difficult to implement (I'm an artist not a coder) and much of it can be copied from other programs. All these pixel pros could use an anim feature too. It's like every pixel app has made the parts the next one hasn't, so we end up with lots of half baked pixel painter apps. I'd pay a good price for one that had all the features correctly, but I wasted so much time testing them all so far. None is really cut out for the job, yet tablets with stylus are the perfect hardware.

This app misses copy/paste while an other app has copy/paste but it has ads all over the place. I also find it very annoying is that there is no "redo" button because if I accidentally touch the undo button, I lose the last move I made. This happens when I try to touch the move button. And there should also be a pallet! Why do I have to jump from image to image selecting colors? It's so inconvenient! I know this was made in 2011 but now it's 2014 and I think phone standards are a bit more higher!

Desperately in need of an autosave feature. I've lost alot of work on my sprites several times now because I simply say, switched to winamp to change the tune, switched back and found a blank canvas. But I must say this is a touch more refined than pixelate I believe the app was called. The zoom feature needs to work better with the pinch gesture. A multi-touch (two fingers moving in the same direction, say) should move the entire canvas. Constantly clicking back and forth for simple jobs such as creating

It's an amazing app and the tools and everything are fantastic but when I realised I needed more width for what I'd done, when I changed it I lost what I'd done and couldn't get it back whatever I tried . I'm really disappointed with this 'cause I lost about an hour and a half's worth of work, if not more. Please fix this.

This is the best photo editing app ever (for me) but i wish u could change brush sizes thats it

When I save the image, it's extremely blurry. You need to fix it I can't use it for anything now. I put hourrs into a pixel drawing and it's blurry and unusable...

When returning to the app from a reference picture it often defaulted to a blank canvas undoing all my work, I know the addage about saving often but come on this is ridiculous!!!

It was good but after using for like 2 minutes, the app force closes. My hardwork.. All gone

I was trying to make small scale sprites using a 50x50 scale and I couldn't zoom in, it'd stay there for like a second and zoom out to a really small square. It HAS good potential but this issue has made me Uninstall

Give us the option to create our own palette, more colors and crop/copy/paste if you want 5 stars

Super easy to use, and I can make sure that I don't waste any blocks on minecraft. Two things I would add: custom colors, and optionally transparent layers.

Very difficult interface. The menus are cumbersome and zooming is such a hassle. The drawing tools are redundant. Filling in pixels is overly sensitive. The app uses my device's back button as the "undo" function, which shouldn't happen. At least it works, I suppose.

I am a big fan of MS Paint and this is the closest I have found so far at the App Store!

It is great. It really needs ability to work multi layered for non destructive editing. you should let people know how to access custom colors w alpha
