Open Camera

This app needs improvements in the field of hdr photography and the tap to focus feature doesn't work. Please fix this problems. Otherwise this is one of the best camera app in playstore.

It's awesome! It does everything I need and more. Takes pictures while recording video. Sometimes it feels a bit slow but it works as it should.

This is really good. Simple and does just what I need. No ads no fx replaced long used app that's turned into bloatware.

By far the best camera app out there. 1:No features locked behind a paywall 2:I could record 60 and 120 fps (the latter only at low resolutions) videos but the default camera app that came with my phone only allowed me 30 fps. 3: I could (with a low Bitrate and low fps) record 4k uhd videos! My phone camera natively, supports that resolution because it has 13 megapixels (I think) but the default camera app didn't give me the option to record videos at that resolution. This app has it. Thanks.

So far, open camera has been better than the default on every android device i have owned and every other camera app i have downloaded. Great job, keep up the amazing work.

Great features and love the customization, but there is a delay after I press the shutter button. Is there a fix for this? It makes the app useless to me

My only problem with the app is that we cannot adjust ISO in multiple exposure mode. Pictures become too noisy in low light conditions when converted to HDR.

Rear camera is working very good and good results too but front camera of phone is struggling with noise. Please improve and definitely 5 stars.

I love this app! Makes better shots than even the built-in camera app, free! No ads is even better. Going to keep experimenting with the app, but going to donate soon!

In my Sony Xperia Z5 Premium Dual Black 4K regulation doesn't support, what should I do , tell me but the camera is showing only 8.29 megapixel.... But my phone back is 23 mepxl camera

Is the only camera app that works with my modded Moto g5 plus in it's current state, but it is better than any camera app than I ever used

It won't play the videos it just took a picture and then recorded the audio. It has good quality but I need those videos plz help.

This is so grate for my nexus the camera is extremely smooth which is a good thing of course and I'm so glad everything works and not just only selfie mode GOOD APP

Very good application. Suitable for learning photography. :) but, where is the iso setting? It's missing in the latest update

Although app is good but hang during video recordings more than 1 minute and capturing more than 10 photo back to back.

So far so good. Absolutely free and packed. However, I hope there's a slider for manual focus adjustment.

Best Camera App Out There The default camera on my LG G5 has a tendency to crash, so I use this instead. I've actually used this for years on other phones, and it's always been very reliable, and the shots always seem sharper than they have with any other camera app on any other phone. I also love that it's ad-free. I'd give it 3 thumbs up, if I could (but I'm glad I can't)!

Hi guys, I've been using Open Camera for vlogging for a couple months now on the PixelXL and like how it performs. There are a couple features I wish it had more easily accessible, and a few I'm hoping you'll consider adding in future updates. Please don't remove any current features, but I'd love to see you work on hardware integration with the DJI Osmo for stabilization. I know they have an accessible API for their tool. One other feature I'd love to see is the ability to set custom color curves for in camera log-like recording. There's a competing filming app that offers these features already, but I'd love to stay with yours for other reasons. I'd like to see a UI slider for manual focus when that option is selected, and also options for preset frame rates, shutter speeds, and ISO as sliders on the UI during filming. I am aware that some of these features are not accessible during all modes of filming, but it's a few of the things that are drawing me into using both your app and the other at the moment. I'd love to get back to just using one app, yours, for it all.

Open source, works great on LineageOS. Stock google camera kept crashing, so needed a replacement and this fit the bill lovely. Thanks very much for your hard work, I much prefer to use open source software wherever possible and recognise the effort that goes into it.

I have problem with this camera app first everytime i use it in low light the display flickers and i can't turn off the shutter sound. I don't have the same problem with the native camera app and CameraMX. I'm using Xiaomi Mi 4c with China Stable ROM

I added its tile in Nougat 7.1 status bar on Moto X play. Whenever I launch it from there, all unread notification comes on screen and mode automatically changes to Landscape. Too much distraction. When a tile is added in status bar, I expect it to be as fast as opening Motorola stock camera from lock screen bottom corner. That option is super fast and just slide one finger towards top to zoom in and touch anywhere on screen for clicking photo. Minimal distraction. This app needs work to become favourite Android camera app for accessing from anywhere.

I can point and shoot with Open Camera and get true to color images. Settings are easy to navigate . This app calibrates my phones camera sensors and get a nice picture without any adjusting. My phones default camera app takes terrible pictures on auto mode.... Funny because Sony brags heavily on its phone camera. I will look to donate to app development. Thanks

Wow. I always keep on asking myself `whats the catch` I love this app. As long as it stays free and NO ADs, I will use this App as long as it moves with todays technology.I love it. You got my 5*...you deserve it. Fabulous!!

This is a truly great App and has enhanced the cameras' performance on my One Plus 3T. However, since the latest updates it often freezes the phone. Would be wonderful if that could be fixed. Thanks for your excellent and generous work.

very good app. better than my stock camera app. only issue is that front camera on cat s41 does not take pictures. a wish for future feature would be, to position an auto focus spot by tapping on the preview since its hard to focus on the wanted part of the image.

Used to be the best camera app out there till the audio source always messed up, everytime I choose external mic it still use the phone mic, I've been tested with other apps and the mic it's just fine. Please fix this or I will use another camera app instead.

A UI that doesn't look like it's from 2012 would be a great addition. What I would like to see is a UI design which follows the Material Design guidelines, which will not only make it look very modern but also make it fit with the UI of the new android versions from 5.0 and up.

It doesn't crash. Have tried a few camera apps that crash with my phone. This one opens up relatively quickly and hasn't folded on me yet. A lot of settings which are easy to access.

The camera included in Oneplus devices is awful. I have installed many different camera apps. Paid and free. This beats them all hands down.

Finally! A camera app for power users. Exposure Lock, Bracketing, Continuous AF, Burst Mode... what's not to love?!

App has a lot options but most important ones is missing on the new update. Exposure controls is missing. If there an ISO and shutter speed settings please put optional input instead of only a slider. Like you can type the numbers or set it as a scroll menu. As for shutter speed its going be a long list have it scroll menu. Optional column scroll menu setting because every phone is different size. Double, Triple or Quad on landscape mode. If going for precise add ability go by increments of one with touch + or - Because sliders is horrible for certain phones. I can't pricisely select ISO 800 and 1/48. Add the ability to save as a preset

It's a very good app and replaced stock camera of my Lenovo P2 really well but I guess the flash light button should stand alone to make it more convenient to switch among different flashlight modes on the go. Thanks

Do you think you cand add more controls while shooting videos and also make de electronic zoom smoother..like its too abruptly zooming and the image looks choppy recorded. Thansk for your great app

Nice functionality, looks promising, but lacking possibility to swipe through recently taken photos and to delete a photo. Also, it takes ages to get back to camera mode after previewing last photo, quite annoying. Pity. Might give this one a try again in a later version, however.

i wanted to use this whilst reading lyrics from another app but when i choose the other app this stops recording video. is there any way i can get it to do this?

The camera is good. But I cannot save file to external SF card. Does everyone have the same problem?
