aTides is a completely off-line worldwide tide prediction application using NOAA/XTide harmonic data files.
It is based on code from uTides which in turn is based on xTides. If you are familiar with how xTides works you will be familiar with aTides. aTides however only contains a subset of features from xTides.
Users in Canada should choose the 'Non-Free' region. The Non-Free region also contains some ports for the UK, Germany and Holland that may not be in the Europe region.
If you use this app, please consider contributing to the developer's beer fund, the ad-free version is only a fraction of the cost of a pint of beer!

Time slider doesn't work. Sliding to a different time deforms the tide pattern so that the numbers are nonsense after the show cind high tide.

I've used this app around Brazil and so far the tide in the app has matched what I observed at ports. I did not test for DST yet but the "add 1h" thing doesn't make much sense specially as DST varies among locations here. The interface is pretty bad. Finding a location isn't straightforward. The whole of South America is listed in alphabetical order and not by area. Not all stations start with the name of the city. Lacks better search tool/filter. Lacks map/nearest tide gauges. DST options needs improving

Currently in the Maldives trying to find tide info on Male and also Madagascar. Closest port is Cape Town which, when I last looked, is over 2, 000 nm away. Happy to pay for an app that works but this is useless to me, sorry.
