Cloud Cam for Android
The developer has responded multiple time and is diligently trying to resolve problems that I am experiencing. I needed to know how I can get just one snapshot per set timer, instead of multiple snapshots (I get many emails with many snapshots per timer) I thought this may be a demo version issue so I bought paid version but did not help! Developer says this issue will be addressed in the next update. The program will email snapshots and battery warnings, but it will not email a test email when I try to get remote control working. This feature seemed to work on demo version. I am using same gmail email address for all features and have verified many times that it is correct. Also I find the help files and configuration instruction somewhat unclear and confusing and I am a programmer. I would like to say that this developer is earnestly trying to solve the issues I have with this program! He is a great example of what a good developer should aspire to. Daniel
Wish it had some how to videos, but this works really good on my high speed network. But on actually using it for awhile, I can't seem to keep my cell camera going before the battery drains out and the phone shuts off, even with the charger plugged in! Has anyone else noticed this?
Cannot get thing to configure after hour of trying.
Crashes every time I try to start the server on Galaxy S3. Dev responded quickly though, so will add some stars If I can get it to work. Great (potential) functionality.
a) The motion snapshot storage to SD card or Dropbox starts working but after a certain variable time, it just stops recording (it is plenty of space, and I have confirmed this issue on several phones and storage configurations); b) The file naming of recorded snapshots should be the conventional YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS.jpg; c) The run on startup option does not work (at least on Gingerbread). Please keep on upgrading it !! Thank you.
email remote control not working... pls fix "no remote control email found" I use my email and password.. still not working
Cost too much
The feature-set of this app is awesome. The config screen promises everyhing I ever wanted. Except that I'm not sure it ever works and the app crashes every 5 minutes (especially when trying to view mjpeg stream). Couldn't use in practice.
Makes a great trail cam. But if it can't send an email even once (SMTP server not found) the app will not resume. Handle internet availability issues and this app will be unstoppable! What I love most is this is good compact code. It does not hog memory. Good job!
Demo works properly but full version started crapping out after two first uses on Motorola xt912. Config doesn't stay saved for uploading to picasa or drop box cloud. Video doesn't upload to picasa or drop box either. Multiple resolutions were tested.

Hello, I have the paid Cloud Spy Cam. I use it to transform my old Android phones into IP cameras. The software is good, but I have found a couple of points to improve: a) The motion snapshot storage to SD card starts working but after a 20 or 30 snapshots it just stops recording (it is plenty of space); b) The file naming of recorded snapshots should be the conventional YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS.jpg; c) The run on startup option does not work (at least on Gingerbread). Please keep on upgrading this good work !
Amazing. Works just fine. Best spy cam I have ever tried :-)
Simply superb
Have used this app on a number of devices and Android versions - works really well, very robust! Had one small issue which developer addressed quickly... very happy with the app! Well worth the money.
Used the pro version for some time now. Comprehensive cctv, cannot get anything better in the play store. Well done guys.
No complaint
Love it. ...... ...... .
Tried the demo bought the full version. Hope I can remote start the app it seems very solid!
Always triggers, even on the least sensitive setting.
I have tried most cam apps, including the pay apps and this one serves my needs. Excellent. My only problem is I want my screen to timeout but it stays on 24-7. Wish I could find a solution.
Perfect for viewing your phone camera on the same Wifi network & setting to perfectly fit your needs. Tip I found useful is that all the tool (wrench) icons you can click on to access special settings like video quality or image quality size. You can use this as a motion sensor for when something is walking by. Also, the option to email the full resolution photo to yourself is great to have. Any issues can usually be resolved by tweaking some settings. Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch
Junk! Don't waste your time or your money! Tried to use it on two different Android phones. After hours of trying different configurations, I finally gave up! Help files are unclear and confiding, so don't expect help from there.
Paid in full. Attempted several times trying to get program to load keeps failing. Bummer.
Wish it had some how to videos, but this works really good on my high speed network.
It would be a nice app, if all those features would actually work in real life. You could turn your andriod into a web cam if not for the fact that you'd need a dedicated PC running a jar based MPJEP streamer app. Who has that to show for, specially if on the move? What good is the spycam app, if it only wurks with SpyBuddy, an app so utterly useless that it can't even record video/pics and can't reliably switch to the front facing camera? The list goes on, including the fact that the http based webinterface requires Java support (not just JavaScript), thus it can only be used from PC based web browsers.
Pain to configure. Has to be configured every time u run it. Won't remember half the settings. Only low resolution photos r taken. The list is endless. Wont b using it.
It's the best for seeing live video through your android phone, I would have rated it a 5 star rating if it would have had support for a front camera. Once there is an update for this app that supports a front camera then I will change my rating to a 5 star rating!! Thanks though
Previous viewer is correct, it is a pain to configure... but understandable since it has alot of supposed options. The real issue is that by the time you get it configured and attempt to test it, your refund timer is up and you can't get a refund once you find out that the app doesn't do what it says it will do. The one feature I needed was disabled in the "demo" version. What I wanted it for was to record video, however the app would never save video to SD or internal storage no matter what I tried or where I tried to save it. Second, while it did stream video to my web browser across the LAN in MJPEG format, as soon as you switch to another app, the stream dies (even though the app is running as a service as indicated by the HAL eye icon on the toolbar). It even says it's still running, but doing nothing. If the app is not the foreground application, it doesn't work as advertised. So much for "stealthy". All I wanted it for was to record class lectures while I was taking notes. I wasn't even trying to be stealthy. While the app does stream video, it's feature list over promises -alot-.

I have tried many many of the "security camera" style apps, and have had all sorts of problems with them. THIS app, however, worked straight away, was easy to use, and FAST. I am so impressed i had to come here and give my first ever play store review. You can make it be a web server to deliver a new photo every time you refresh the page. You can use the web page to make adjustments to the program and the camera without having to go to the phone itself. And, i don't think it could be any easier - they give you a web page link to type into your browser. Definitely recommended.
