The Advanced Metrocard Calculator will tell you exactly how much to pay for a specific number of trips (great for tourists) or how much to add to a Metrocard in order to get an exact number of trips (great for locals). The calculator doesn't take into account the "bonus" amount the MTA adds, so the app is essentially useless if you're a local trying to get every penny out of your card.
