Day Clock for Android
Excellent app. Works very well out-of-the-box. Can be tweaked further with moderate IT skill. Consider for dementia, Alzheimers, memory loss, brain damage. Can be used on an cheap Android TV box to turn a TV into a day clock.
Excellent simple to configure clock. The only things that could make it more perfect would be connection do a Google Calendar, and maybe moving the menu down to the bottom corner (no header bar) so it's less likely to be accidentally clicked on.
OMG, a life-saver! My wife will no longer wake me up at 5am asking what day it is, every single day (it's no fun). Thank you so much!
Great free app - very easy to set up and use. i will be recommending it to all of my clients!
THANK YOU for your efforts to develop this app which has the potential to help so many. My father-in-law suffers from dementia following a stroke and had been very confused about the time of day (morning, afternoon, evening, night), especially in the winter when it is dark outside at both 6:30 am and pm. I would be very interested in consulting/helping to further develop the app to tweak a few options and/or add some new functionality. Thanks again!
Had potential for my Mother but colors are confusing for her. STILL NO ABILITY TO USE GRAPHIC AS BACKGROUND. She needs a graphic as a background that changes for day/afternoon/night.
Keeps my 86 year old mother with dementia on track. She loves it thank you very much.
Simple and effective, responsive developer as well!
A visual and easy way to tell the time just by looking straight at the phone, at any point in time it's easy, to use, for older people with dementia and also for younger children that learning to tell the time and also if it's near bedtime as well for them, and I hope to see some more from the app author. 5
I love it
I have installed this app on an old tablet computer and have put the tablet inside a photo frame (to prevent curiosity interfering with it). I have test driven it at my house and have now installed it at my mother's. I hope that the customised night-time message I have set will reduce or even eliminate the calls I have been getting in the middle of the night. Fingers crossed. Thanks peterthevicar
My parents both have Alzheimer's and I have been looking for an app like this for many months, to work on an old Nexus 7 tablet. It is really simple to use and configure. Well done.
My father has dementia and this app is a absolute god send. Thank You developer.

Nice
Thank you for creating this.
If you have cared for someone with dementia or Alzheimer's you will understand how frustrating sundowning and the loss of time concept is. There are special clocks that are expensive and hard to get most places. With this you simply use an old phone or tablet. Thank you Peterthevicar.
Flexible to allow me to include all regular activities as well as the day of the week. Helps to answer her regular question "what do I do now? "
Simple, effective and very useful for everyone. Something we should all consider using well before problems materialise to ensure its in the long term memory bank !!
OK I wrote it but it's flexible and simple and stops elderly relative ringing us at silly o'clock!
Simple and effective

Very good app, just what I was looking for. To get an alarm sound I also coordinated a reminder app with the periods to give an alert for selected periods. Did fine one problem though, when a period spans midnight that period ends early. Otherwise everything thing works great. Thanks for your efforts in building this app. Update -- did a work around to satisfy the midnight problem. App works great. Thanks and keep up the good work.
