Ogni escursione contiene tutte le informazioni utili sia agli escursionisti più esperti che ai principianti.

Visualizza le schede scopri come arrivare alle gite e utilizza il sistema per essere guidato durante l'escursione.

Per ogni itinerario è possibile visionare:

- La descrizione di come accedere al punto di partenza dalla propria posizione corrente
una descrizione generale del percorso con le caratteristiche principali
- Tutti i dati tecnici (partenza e quota, arrivo e quota, difficoltà, dislivello, lunghezza, tempo di salita e discesa, periodo migliore) e la descrizione puntuale del percorso di salita.
- I waypoints che possono essere dei punti di attenzione (bivi) oppure di interesse (interesse paesaggistico o culturale, ecc). Per i punti di attenzione ci sarà una breve descrizione, per i punti di interesse la descrizione sarà più approfondita.

La cartografia di base utilizzata è quella resa disponibile da OpenStreetMap (OpenCycleMaps) che contiene, oltre alle indicazioni di base, anche le curve di livello ed i sentieri.

Funzionalità specifiche della APP:

- Aiutare, utilizzando la cartografia disponibile sul dispositivo, ad arrivare al punto di partenza dell'escursione.
- Segnalazione acustica quando ci si avvicina ad un waypoint
- Segnalazione acustica quando si esce dall'itinerario corretto
- Visura dell'altitudine e delle coordinate cartografiche WGS84 della posizione corrente
- Stima dell'avanzamento dell'itinerario con tutti i dati tecnici
- Possibilità di registrare la traccia e salvarla
- Archivio dell'utente con tutte le traccie salvate con la possibilità di visualizzarle all'interno della App
- Registrati al sito MontagnaVda (anche con Facebook) per condividere la Tua esperienza tramite post ed immagini!
- Archivio dei post effettuati
- Possibilità di scaricare la cartografia per un utilizzo off-line del sistema
- La app consente di visualizzare in cartografia i file KML tramite altre app (es: file inviato per email, scaricato da web ecc.)

L'app è utilizzabile completamente OFF-LINE.

E' presente l'intero tracciato del Giro dei Giganti (dove annualmente viene svolto il Tor des Géants) con tutti i dati del percorso!

Da tener presente che l'utilizzo del GPS ha un notevole assorbimento di energia e tende a far scaricare velocemente (due - tre ore) il cellulare.
Per risolvere questo problema è consigliabile dotarsi di una batteria supplementare.
In alternativa la APP permette di sospendere il GPS, in questo modo la durata delle batterie aumenta notevolmente.

Sono inoltre visibili:

- Le immagini del singolo itinerario
- Un elenco di link a siti internet di interesse

E' anche possibile aggiungere immagini con una gallery personale.

Punti di interesse:
Sono inseriti i principali punti di interesse: dove dormire, dove mangiare, patrimonio, servizi.
Di ogni punto di interesse sono riportate le principali informazioni ed una fotografia.

In considerazione che alcune zone non hanno copertura telefonica è possibile precaricare in locale la cartografia di base.

Nota Bene
Questa applicazione fa uso della modalità GPS in background, l'uso intensivo del GPS può ridurre notevolmente la durata della batteria. E' possibile in qualsiasi momento disabilitare il gps all'interno dell'applicazione.

Each tour contains all the useful information to both experienced hikers and beginners.

Look at the cards and find out how to get to the rides using the system to be driven during the excursion.

For each route you can see:

- The description of how to access the starting point from your current location
a general description of the route with the main features
- All technical data (starting and altitude, arrival and altitude, difficulty, height, length, time of ascent and descent, best time) and a precise description of the climbing path.
- The waypoints that can be points of attention (crossroads) or interest (scenic or cultural, etc.). For points of attention there will be a brief description, for the points of interest the description will be more thorough.

The base map used is made available from OpenStreetMap (OpenCycleMaps) which contains, in addition to the basic, even the contour lines and paths.
