USGS Earthquake Data

Having access to a long list of earthquakes is almost worthless. After an earthquake we cannot make a 'Did you feel it' report. We can't look at a map (on a Note 3) to see shake activity or browse around the world. Honestly, when a big one does hit, we will all reach for our phones. I can't emphasize enough how many kids you could reach with an interesting, engaging app. Time to catch up, this app does not reflect the tremendous work and insight USGS is known fow worldwide. 18F to the rescue! :)

Just downloaded this about a week ago. A friend highly recommended it. However, the app says it cannot connect to the website, or something along those lines. Is this due to our congress hating science and the site was shut down or is there another issue?

Upgraded to Android 5.1 and this hasn't worked since. All you get is text piled on top of each other and, "file failed to load," or, "not found." Useless!

We had 7 quakes in central Oklahoma last nite. First 2 loaded quickly. From then on it was long time. Now at 7:45 am not at all.

We know they purposefully hide info. Thus this app is worthless

So slow!! And doesn't/couldn't figure out hot to show <1.0

Previous versions were good. Something's wrong with this one. Might try again later.

Does absolutely nothing should be removed from the app store.

It used to work, then it stopped and gives an error code ..something about invalid mime blah blah. have tried reinstalling 3 times in past 10 days.

Don't know if you have been hacked, ran out of money, hiding something upcoming or just broken but hey not cool that you are not working.

Very slow. Long delays. 2.5 results don't match the button labels.

Causes battery to over heat. After recent update will not load an gives link to web page. Deleting!!!

Something is wrong with the app. Constantly getting an error message when I click any link.

App is offline and asks that you check the server address. I hope the U.S.G.S fixes this issue quickly because, I live very close to the San Andreas and I always feel movements here, especially lately.

Since the last update, NOTHING has functioned. It says link is NOT VALID. Sucks big time.

This was one of my favorite apps. Now I am deleting it off all my device's. Please fix and I'll be back.

Error messages make it useless and the web site isn't any better...let's get it together people.

Other apps showing 10x more quakes globally. is USGS lacking coverage, not notifying the public or all the other apps are telling porky pies??

I like the old version where u could see the world And as it happened. It was live and yes I'm on my phone which is good enough to be my computer. I loved your old app

Since update, won't load. Says feed cannot be found. Boo!

Works great except "Past Day 2.5+" only displays the past hour.

It shows specific size ranges for limited time ranges. Does not show smaller quakes for very long though, one hour only. This probably makes it better for phone with low memory.

When i press past day hestory ,it comez with past hour history..i hd reinstall bt theres same problem .

The app used to be so easy to use. You could select the magnitude EQ you want info on and then a world atlas would pop up. All you had to do was select the dot which indicated a quake and you would get the info. Now you have to scroll through a list of quakes and then select one of interest before seeing the map. To make it even worse every time you go back to the list it takes you back to the top of the list. Bottom line, it is no longer user friendly.

Not one thing works on this app anymore. Going to have to bid this app farewell....

Last time I used this app it worked like a champ, now it won't display any information about earthquakes at all.

It gives me an error message no matter what I try to see.

It's giving me an error message that it cannot find the site. Please solve this. It was a great app before the update.

This app was amazing - i used the app to follow our last 6.0 - now ot says - no link... nothing works. Please fix!

DO NOT INSTALL!! An abandoned project, me thinks - last update Oct 2012 - it cannot find data at USGS where it thinks it should be. Waste of time and incomplete data.

:( yet another app that has fallen victim to the USGS change in their data format. this app and many other are now broken.

This worked just fine till I was forced to update and now it won't work AT ALL!!!!! DELETE

Real suck-ee No flow not very functional or user-interactive. I am uninstalling right now.

Would be better if we could see a certain area, not everthing. 5 stars if we could pick an area and zoom in on the map as well as see all earthquakes over the last week or so for a area.

Launch was great and flawless with good functionality. Now its useless. This sailors transferring ships. Adios

Ah,... I think you need to recompile your software. Application link to the USGS is broken.
