Tao Te Ching for Android
Note: I've had several requests for the S. Mitchell translation (which I would love to add), but I don't believe it's in the public domain :(.
Update solves a force close issue if no sdcard is inserted.
A must have
Good info moto Droid
I love the content. The multiple translations and the ability to them them on and off at will is a great idea. But I wish it were more... beautiful? Aesthetically pleasing might be a better phrase. As it is now it's very simple and utilitarian (which I guess is more dao-like) but it's a little bland.
This app has the text of the Tao Te Ching in its original form and includes 3 english translations (not the most popular ones), and it works just fine in any screen size. Easy to read and not battery hungry. I wish it would include Lin Yutang's translation (my favorite), but then again, it's ad-free. Congratulations for a great job, and I hope it keeps improving. By the way: you advance chapters swiping to the left. It took me a while as I was looking for a menu or navigation button. It needs a better icon, also.
Wo ai tao
It is a good app because it has all translations. Is not just a philosophical book, a therapeutic book, or religious book, is also haiku. For an ignorant that doesnt understand haiku, other translations can help. The Tao Te Ching is not only understood by words is internal.
Would like it to remember what chapter you are on
I was using a Samsung Infuse
Can you please also do a version for I ching? Please???
I like to read all the translations. Thanks for having them.
I mean. How can you beat being able to have three translations right in front of yuh to compare?
the font is too small.need button to change the font size
Cool app, need DC Lau (Penguin Classics) translation.
....and the price is right!
Not mentioned in description there's only one chapter.
Love the different versions, definitly needs an index for easier access to chapters
Excellent!
Wo ai tao
Uhmm. Wats this for? i dont get it..
Excellent app!
Great app for those who can appreciate it. Easy interface with multiple translations, thank you for this.
Very nice
So much for this!
My review of this app is similar to the indescribable Way. except that unlike of the Yin and Yang's eternal balance, this app tilts the scales in favor of Multiple Knowledgasms
The font is so tiny how the hell am I supposed to read this, I'm not even 20 so u can't put the old card on me
Good interface but not great. If there are more public translations, it would be nice to include them. I enjoy reading the interpretations.
Having issues with only filling half the screen. Still readable, just would be nice to view more. Samsung galaxy note.
I've been looking for this! I downloaded this and the other one, but kept this one. 4 stars because I guess it could be "prettier".
Love it. Like the different versions in one place. Any chance of adding a way to jump to a specific chapter?
Multiple English translations is so Tao! Easy to use, just flip through pages.
Great job, just needs a table of contents for quick access to chapters.
All chapters there folks, just fling left or right!
translations suck, but that's to be expected since they're in the public domain. good app otherwise!
Don't know what others are raving about. Only thing here is text that cannot even be formatted to fit your phone. Any printed version is better.
Really great. I've been a fan of the Tao for a long time and this was just what I was hoping for in an app of this type.
I love being able to look at so many translations or just focus in on my favorite, wherever I'm at.
This is such a wonderful app. Had a snafu initially, just reinstalled and it works just fine. :o)
It would be really awesome if you could share some of the entries with family and friends. If that got changed I'd give it 5 stars
thanks for the selection of different version of translation. excellent reference.

An important book to have avaialble, but the Chinese text is way too small, and the English translations are not the best.
