ثلج - أورهان باموق

تدور أحداث رواية "ثلج" للروائي التركي أورهان باموق الحائز على جائزة نوبل للآداب عام 2006 في بلدة قارص التركيّة التي عاشت تاريخاً مضطرباً، فحكمتها أكثر من دولة، وهو ما انعكس على التنوّع العرقي والقومي فيها، حيث يتعايش في قرية نائية نسيها الزمن، الأرمن والأكراد والشركس والأتراك.
ولا يذكر أحدٌ هذه البلدة أو يتذكّرها إلى أن بدأ الانتحار بين الفتيات المحجّبات ينتشر فيها. وكما كل مشكلة بدأت التفسيرات المختلفة للانتحار؛ فالقوميّون يعزون هذا إلى تحريض من إرهابيّ إسلامي يدعى كُحليّ، بينما ترى النساء أنّ الفتيات ينتحرن "لإثبات الكرامة"، والإسلاميون يرون أنّ من تنتحرن تعانين من ضغوط عائلية يهربن منها وأنّهنّ لسن مسلمات أصلًا. وللتحقيق في هذه الظاهرة ترسل صحيفة محلّية الشاعر والصحفيّ "كا" الذي كان لاجئاً سياسيّا في ألمانيا، إلى قارص رغم العاصفة الثلجيّة التي قطعت طرقها لثلاثة أيام.
تناقش الرواية العديد من الأفكار من خلال حوارات "كا" مع شخصيات الرواية، من وجهة نظر ملحد يشعر بوجود ربّ مختلف عمّا ينادي به الجميع.
