About MPD Remote

MPD Remote is a program designed to control a MPD (Music Player Daemon) server. It can also be used as a standard music player for Android together with aMPD.

A few notes
- MPD Remote does NOT work with MPD version 0.14 and older.
- With large music collection it might be necessary to increase the max_output_buffer_size in the mpd.conf file on the MPD server.
- The "Read Phone State" permission allows MPD Remote to send a pause command to the MPD server when a phone call is started.
- The enqueue functionality does not work probably with MPD version 0.16 and 0.15.

This is the best MPD controller/client I have encountered. Many excellent features, too many to list here. Best of all, developer responded to my feature (volume via phone button) request. Volume via app buttons would be better controlled if 5% steps though.

Fantastic, lightweight mpd controller. Lots of features, yet small and fast. Using it to control an RPI with volumio. Minor gripes: adjusting volume takes a long time, ui can be confusing at times

Good job.

Just what i was looking for - can search by files and add whole directories at a time, and supports multiple servers - easy to switch between them, works well with aMPD. Thankyou for an easy to use well thought out app!

Supported this effort to encourage further development! Really like it so far. Love showing off the phone call pause integration! Resume after call I hope is in the pipeline. Couple of things I'd love to see added though for the fifth star; More intuitive random selection, and more options, like random album for example. I haven't found yet how to view the meta data of tracks.

Love this. Controls my Raspberry Pi running MPD as expected. Only gripe for me, when you long-click a track in the playlist you get a "remove album" drop down. A "remove track"option would be great (as some other MPCs have).

Just works as expected The author is responsive and friendly.

Grab yourself some raspberry pi, add some volumio, some flacs on NAS, and this app to control them all for a multiroom music system.

Great app. Would be even better if changing the volume would not require 100 taps

I'm running MPD on my Cubieboard, this app makes it easy to choose songs. It doesn't seem to drain my battery like other MPD clients, and swiping right to get to the current playlist is a handy feature. Paid version is definitely worth it!

I have a Raspberry Pi running MPD hooked up to speakers wired through my house. This works marvelously to control my music without being in front of a console.

Will you please make quick panel and ability to renew next random choice showing which is next, of course?

If like me you are using a Raspberry pi and Raspyfi you will know that album artwork can be frustrating. This is where this app really shines for me, the album artwork which it pulls from Amazon and Lastfm can be fully edited including the search fields. So although I still can't figure out how to pull artwork from the album folder I now have perfect artwork for all albums. As a player it is intuitive and I like the clean simple layout. Great effort so far.
