About Parking Plugin — OsmAnd
OsmAnd Parking Plugin is a reminder for your parking position.
This is an additive plugin to the navigation app OsmAnd.
The plugin offers two functions:
- time independent reminder (only a marker on the map).
- time limited reminder with alarm upon time expiration (includes also a marker on the map).
To place a Parking reminder on the map:
1.Tap and hold on the map until a text bubble pops up.
2.Tap on the text bubble and choose Parking reminder from the menu.
3.Set the type of reminder you wish.
Activating/Deactivating OsmAnd Parking Plugin,can be done in Osmand>Settings>Plugin Manager.

I have been using this app almost 2 years and it's OK. But, the newest updates of plugin have icon in my phone screen. I don't like It. I hope only the main app has icon and not its plugins.

Hi, is my android to old? Try to disabled /enable it, tap and hold only location (longitude n altitude) shows up, there is no parking bubble. Thanks

Besonders in fremden Städten sehr nützlich. Benutzte es zum erste Male ernsthaft im Ausland. Auto irgendwo abgestellt und die Stadt angesehen. Der Weg zurück war überhaupt kein Problem.

I can see this addon being useful not just for parking. It could be used as an easy way to set a temporary destination - say for example you are walking round a strange town and you spot an interesting shop (or more likely pub!). Set your car location here - continue exploring - get thirsty - navigate back to your "car". Job done.

Best Navigation app. Tried mamy more sich as Polaris, CoPilot, GPS Essentials, Mavrick, All-in-Offline maps, Sygic, Be on road etc... But this app is greatest one no doubtly. Thank you guys. I will contribute to you and OSM.

Trying to save a second parking position loses the first. Bad luck if you have a car at the airport back home and also a rental car on a trip, or if you have friends who give you a lift, or if you want to abuse it for non-parking purposes. Update April 2014: there's still only one memory.

OsmAnd+ and plugins - an absolutely must for the enthusiastic OSM mapper :-) On a PC a use 'josm' to edit and on Android I use OsmAnd+ to navigate. The program is highly configurable. Simply works great and all without annoying advertisements. Keep up the good work!
